Just watched this movie cuz I love Cusak...Is hell where we lose our minds and are repeatedly tormented by what we are afraid to deal with?

Hell is real. It is a place of eternal separation from God. It is a place where Jesus says there will be weeping and the gnashing of teeth. It will be 24 / 7 forever, with no way out. What will make it even worse is that those who go there will wish they had followed Jesus. The sad thing is, it will have been to late to make that decision. I suggest you listen to http://www.jesusiscomingsoon.org/hell.php and then go to a Christian book store and ask for the book23 Minutes in Hell, tak it home and read it.

Nobody knows what hell is really like- but the descriptions in the Bible are a bit unnerving. Myself - I trust that I am not going to find out - eternity seems a very, very long time.

No. Hell is other people. Hell is where we keep doing what we were before, in full knowledge of its baseness. Hell is a lot of things. I doubt it has anything to do with fear or insanity.

Not even close. The bible says there will be great wailing and gnashing of teeth. Picture something so gruesome it makes your teeth gnash.
