Swimming out at the beach, bowling, staying out to the wee hours and then going for breakfast, hand-sewing, shopping at the malls, spontaneous get-aways to our favorite spot in Daytona, hand-writing long letters, flirting.....enough, I feel really like an old fart now!!

Participate in triathlons, go clubbing with my friends and come home so blitzed I could hardly get the key in the door,
( I have maybe three drinks a year now) Work two full-time jobs, smoke, sit in the sun for up to 6 or 7 hours a day, and the yelling thing........I don't ever do that.
Wally, I don't ride tricycles anymore either but once back in the clubbing days I won a prize for riding the fastest in a
tricycle race. LOL!! ( probably 23 years ago)

Well since you did say, 'in a long, long time', then I would say
horseback riding, for I've always loved riding when I got
the chance during any given year. And after marriage we
would go out dancing almost every weekend. Or every other.
He, more for the drinking, and me the dancing.
Then when the VCR's came about and rental movies, that
put the cabosh on going out on weekends more and more.
Same with others we know. We've all turned into slugs on
any given night. LOl.
I also used to hit several thrift stores in one day, for the
new store donations. And we were always in the latest trends.
I stopped paying retail for shoes as well, when I found new
ones for under $8.00. And designer bags for even less. But
they're not best kept secrets anymore. Well dressed shoppers hit the better thrift stores and they know where to
look once they're inside, talking on their cells'.I've even heard
one man answering his cell, as if he was in his office. And
he was looking through a clothes rack. I've seen women talking business pretending they were 'just outside the office',
when they too were shopping. I've even seen people shopping for resale shops they own as well. Thrift store
shopping has become very popular.
I've also done the consignment store thing with putting
my good clothes in for sale, and getting credit to buy off their
racks in semi trade. I found that was a better option than
just selling things at a yard or garage sale, as I made more
money. Or I got more than when I traded goods for goods.
Now my wardrobe have to last longer and be more durable.
For I can't afford to shop much anymore. Or I haven't in
awhile.

Walking for fun.

When I was working, part of my duties required my going from one end to another of a huge factory, gathering information and helping fix "frozen" computers. When I had to leave my employment to take care of my aging parents I missed all the walking--so I took up walking as a "hobby". And used to cover MILES whenever I had the time to devote to it...I enjoyed those long walks through the interconnecting ravine parks, going all the way to the lake and back.

Now that I have arthritis in most of my joints (and have had badly enough for about 7 years now) to keep me from doing any more "recreational walking", I really, really miss it.

Lay on a beach for hours....
Smoke the whacky weed
Cocktails before dinner-and after (puts me to sleep now)
Go clubbing (I'd rather stay home)
Party half the night and into the early morning
Anonymous er, ah, shall we say, ah...well, you know.
Play guitar like a madwoman. Arthritis in the old hands put an end to that...can still plunk it though.
