People playing the role of Santa Claus in Australia have been warned not to use his traditional greeting of 'ho ho ho' for fear that it may offend women. 'Ho' is a derogatory term meaning hooker or prostitute. Do you think Santa should quit saying it?

Absolutely Not! Santa Clause has been saying Ho ho ho for a very long time. Very Very long time that "Ho" is not being associated to the word hooker or prostitute. Even these women who claimed to be offended with the word "Ho" is not born yet when Santa Clause said Ho Ho Ho. People now adays are crazy and they always misinterpret everything!

I think this comes to show how society is being corrutped by the media. If one is not dirty minded then it shouldn't offend anyone. Plus why should women be offended, if Santa is directed for children, and in that case it should not be a problem. Hopefully kids do not take Santa's laughter in a wrong way. I hope this helps

I think Santa was saying "Ho, ho, ho!" long before anyone used that word to mean wh0r3. So people should just stop using it to mean that and give Santa a break!

i think that it only sounds offensive in sick peoples minds.
who even came up with the idea of santa saying "ho ho ho" being offensive??
he's been saying it for years and no ones complained, and its christmas!!
the only reason it would sound offensive is if in a dirty persons mind they would be thinking of the true meaning of the word "ho"

It doesn't offensive to me since I been hearing santa saying that since I was little I am 26 year now. I think that is stupid for that. And why are they doing that now. When they should took care of that long time ago. It seem stupid to do it now when santa been saying this for years.

When one looks for an offending statement, it will be found quickly. It happens many times that one's modus operandi requires an "insult." I wish for all of us to not take offense to just about everything these days. Peace, Love and God Bless.

Not in the least. I do believe that the purveyors of Political (in)Correctness should be required to learn to think before opening their mouths, though.

That is so sad. Some people get so offended at things they shouldn't even care about
