So many people are like "I hate God" but dont tell me why they just say it. God is a loving God and gave his 1 and only son so that we can live eternally in heaven. He has never sinned and never will and he is perfect and even if u hate him he still loves you no less than anyone else. He has unconditional love and is always there when u need him even if u cant see him he is there. He knocks on the door to your heart all the time and its your choise to open or not. But no worries cause he will never stop knocking.

As if something is influenced by a pagan festival or belief automatically makes it bad or not as valid. What do people of other spiritual faiths think when people do this?

Ok, dont get me wrong...Yes i believe in God. I know that He will help heal people and that praying does help in some cases. But when my uncle was diagnosed with cancer 3 and a half years ago i prayed every night that he'd get better and he still died a year later. I've heard plenty of stories where God has saved someone's life because they prayed and asked Him to help heal them and i do believe some of them. However not everyone is a Christian so saying "just pray and God will help" or something along those lines isn't always the answer. I guess what im trying to say is...Why are most people so quick to assume that praying is always the answer??

basically i share a room with my mom. im too poor to get my own place so anywho this is what happened. im in my room and im listening to music. my mom comes in and turns on the tv. i ask her to turn off the tv because i was listening to the music. she tells me to go down stairs and listen to music there but i obviously cant bring the sterio down stairs and i tell her ,"why cant you watch tv down stairs" because clearly theres a tv down there. she furiously yells (not even exagerating) "this is my ******* house, and im paying for this ****" so anyway i just leave the room. now, my question is what type of word can i use to describe her?

btw. she has anger problems, shes always nervous, and always yells.

Mary did you know that your baby boy would some day walk on water?
Mary did you know that your baby boy would save our sons and daughters?
Did you know that your baby boy has come to make you new?
This child that you've delivered, will soon deliver you.

Mary did you know that your baby boy would give sight to a blind man?
Mary did you know that your baby boy would calm a storm with his hand?
Did you know that your baby boy has walked where angels trod?
And when your kiss your little baby, you have kissed the face of God.

Oh Mary did you know---

The blind will see, the deaf will hear, the dead will live again.
The lame will leap, the dumb will speak, the praises of the lamb---.

Mary did you know that your baby boy is Lord of all creation?
Mary did you know that your baby boy would one day rule the nations?
Did you know that your baby boy is heaven's perfect Lamb?
This sleeping child you're holding is the great--I--- AM---.

Why do black people in america wear clothing that is too large, so its really baggy. For example, short sleeve shirts that are so big. they hang to the knees.
Is it because they want to look like they are in a gang?

Maybe it's true that life begins at fifty.
But everything else starts to
wear out, fall out, or spread out.

There are three signs of old age.
The first is your loss of memory,
the other two I forget.

You're getting old when
you don't care where your spouse goes,
just as long as you don't have to go along.

Middle age is when work is a lot less fun
and fun a lot more work.

Statistics show that at the age of seventy,
there are five women to every man.
Isn't that the darndest time for a guy to get those odds?

You know you're getting on in years
when the girls at the office start confiding in you.

Middle age is when it takes longer to rest than to get tired.

By the time a man is wise enough to watch his step,
he's too old to go anywhere.

Middle age is when
you have stopped growing at both ends,
and have begun to grow in the middle.

Of course I'm against sin;
I'm against anything that I'm too old to enjoy.

A man has reached middle age
when he is cautioned to slow down by his doctor
instead of by the police.

Middle age is having a choice of two temptations
and choosing the one that will get you home earlier.

You know you're into middle age when
you realize that caution is the only thing
you care to exercise.

At my age, "getting a little action" means
I don't need to take a laxative.

Don't worry about avoiding temptation.
As you grow older, it will avoid you.

The aging process could be slowed down
if it had to work its way through Congress.

You're getting old when
getting lucky means
you find your car in the parking lot.

You're getting old when
you're sitting in a rocker
and you can't get it started.

You're getting old when
your wife gives up sex for Lent,
and you don't know until the 4th of July.

You're getting old when
you wake up with that morning-after feeling,
and you didn't do anything the night before.

The cardiologist's diet:
if it tastes good, spit it out.

Doctor to patient: I have good news and bad news:
the good news is that you are not a hypochondriac.

It's hard to be nostalgic
when you can't remember anything.

You know you're getting old when
you stop buying green bananas.

Last Will and Testament:
Being of sound mind, I spent all my money.

Revelations 7 (KJV) reads, "4And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel."

So.... how many Christians will be upset when they learn they are not one of the 144,000 people who will go to heaven?
That's not very many people.

the bible for a third time, since It's been quite awhile, the first time I read the catholic version with the apocrypha intact, the second time I read standard King James version, so from a poetic stand point what is the most lyrical and fun of the version of the bible, (note I am reading it as literature not to study)?

I mean, I had an uncle that was deformed from birth and my dad did construction for years and had 3 back surgeries. That kind of stuff i understand. Even temp disability, because that shows that you WANT to get back into the workforce. But I know one person who gets disability for headaches. Another two for learning disabilities, even though they have shown they could do labor-intensive work. These people are the dregs on society, because they are happy to waste away their life and let the taxpayers give them much more than they ever put INTO the system.

I don't even know what language this is...:

Now, we're assuming that the little sister in question is 19 years of age, just in case anyone got the wrong idea. I'm writing a story, and this is the sort of situation I've come upon. But I'm not quite sure how someone would handle that situation.

If you were say, 24, and you met/ developed a crush on your best friend's little sister (19) who liked you back. One thing led to another and you ended up making out with her, hooking up with her, or whatever, would you tell your best friend, even though you know he's really protective of her? How? When? Would you wait awhile, make sure he's in a good mood? Wait until you're ready? If you made out with her tonight, and you ran into him tomorrow morning, what would you say if/when his sister's name comes up in conversation? Let's say you've been friends for 10 years, now. Does that affect your decision in any way?
