Mary did you know that your baby boy would some day walk on water?
Mary did you know that your baby boy would save our sons and daughters?
Did you know that your baby boy has come to make you new?
This child that you've delivered, will soon deliver you.

Mary did you know that your baby boy would give sight to a blind man?
Mary did you know that your baby boy would calm a storm with his hand?
Did you know that your baby boy has walked where angels trod?
And when your kiss your little baby, you have kissed the face of God.

Oh Mary did you know---

The blind will see, the deaf will hear, the dead will live again.
The lame will leap, the dumb will speak, the praises of the lamb---.

Mary did you know that your baby boy is Lord of all creation?
Mary did you know that your baby boy would one day rule the nations?
Did you know that your baby boy is heaven's perfect Lamb?
This sleeping child you're holding is the great--I--- AM---.

I love it. Our Signing Team at church did this song last Christmas. It tells who Jesus really is..."when you kiss your little boy, you have kissed the face of God."

That song gave me chills first time I heard it. Think of it, what God must have known about Mary's character to bless her with the task of bearing his Son. She much have been an outstanding/upstanding woman.

I've always thought that Mary's pain must have been double fold; while she was a believer and was loosing Jesus (in the physical, during the crucifixion) as the Savior, like the rest of the followers, she was also losing her son.

While I don't understand why some people pray to/through her (as I don't see that instructed in the Bible), I do admire her for the woman she must had been.

And to think of it, even though Joseph wasn't the biological father, God knew that he would be helping to guide the rearing a Jesus as a child, so he must really had been worthy also.

David Bowie's song Lady Stardust (on the The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars LP) It was written for and about Marc Bolan. It's always been one of my favourite Bowie songs - the lyrics, the atmosphere conjured instantly by the first guitar chord, the whole shape of the thing, I can't really quantify it, but I've always loved it.

Revelation 7:17
For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

Amen

God loves you,
Faith

The first time I heard this song was about four years ago when it was used in one of my church's Christmas plays. It had a very powerful effect and there were several people that accepted Jesus as their Savior that night. I will never forget. :)

Oh! That is one of my favourite songs in the whole world! I love singing that one as much as I love listening to it. Have you ever heard Kathy Mattea's version? It is fantastic.
