If the sacred rite of marriage (between a man and a woman, of course) can be completed drive-thru style, then why not the sacred rite of baptism? Is it because the Christians in this country would make a huge issue of it and rebel via their votes come the next election?
Also, do you think that Christians oppose equal marriage rights for gays because of a desire to protect the supposed sanctity of marriage, or because of pure bigotry?

The personage in LasVegas is not looking for a baptism, if it was they would have the drive through baptism. You have to consider this is Sin City, Not forgiveness City. You can get a divorce in the drive through, place your bet on almost anything in the drive thru, get married, but, you have to walk up to the pawn shop. If they had a drive thru it would probably be sanctioned by the inagod Baptist Church. They have a straight line to Hell, I believe.
2d question- Pure Bigotry, altho it is in the Bible that Homosexuality is wrong

In The Book of Common Prayer there is actually a small section that gives instructions for an emergency Baptism. I actually pictured a dude in a cape as the newest Anglican super hero--Baptism Man. For your second question I think it depend on the person who opposes it. I think some of them are trying to protect the "sanctity of marriage", but I have a feeling bigotry plays a large part of it.

I don't think so. Baptism and marriage are two different things. Baptism is a blessing and marriage is a convenience.

I would not be the least bit surprised if they offered drive-by "sprinkling"; immersion baptism is going to be a problem unless they have use of one of those ritzy fountains ;-)
I think Christians oppose gay marriage rights out of sheer bigotry; God knows, there's nothing "pure" about it!
Shalom :-)

I think you are lying about 'drive thru' marriages. I think your 'drive thru' baptism is a joke, and I think gays are against 'man and woman only' marriages because of pure bigotry.

sounds like a lucrative business opportunity - you could claim that only your baptism allow entrance into heaven - hell, you start a whole new branch of christianity - become the CEO of a megachurch - live the good life- drive a ferrari

I suppose the same Elvis that is ordained to marry you could baptize you in a car wash.
And yes, on the second question it's the latter that is correct.

You should read your bible in the word of god he create woman for a man not to have same sex marriage that it's against the word of god and it is and abomination's don't have not right to married according to the word of god. what they really need is Jesus who ever baptize Evan married same sex is just the wrong as they are and gays should not have no equal rights as A man or woman because it is and abomanation. yes ned to protect the rights of marriage betweem woman and man. God made Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve or Eve and Eva to marry.
