Do you have any scriptures to support the "heavenly language" pentecostals speak of?

Mike that's from the exact same tongues I was talking about...

And it's something completely different.

to the 1 Corinthians 13:1 people...

I don't see the tongues of men and of angels being a "Heavenly language" I see this talking about the Gift of Tongues...

When someone is talking to someone else because of the gift of tongues it's because of the angels, the heavens, the Holy Spirit...whatever phrase you wanna put it as....

Only those who have the Holy Spirit can truly speak in tongues and without the Holy Spirit it is not possible...but it's all the same thing.

I Corinthians 13... "though I speak with the tongues of men and angels and have not love..." May who hold to the modern day speaking in tongues movement will use that verse, but they often misapply it or use it out of context.

There are times when we get an overall look at scripture. For example, the word Trinity is never used in Scripture, however, we use this word to describe God in 3 persons.....Which is a cardinal belief. Another example is the belief of the the Rapture, another word not mentioned in the Bible...however, this describes the "snatching away of believers when Jesus comes in the clouds"...

So to address the tongues issue, you must get an overall picture to define this gift. Here are a few scriptures to help.

1Co 13:1 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

the tongues(language) of the angels...or those spirits of Heaven...which now seems to mean...heavenly language or the language which only God can understand.

1Co 12:10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.
1Co 12:28 And God has appointed in the church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, helping, administrating, and various kinds of tongues.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "2 different tongues". There are 2 types. 1...the Gift of Tongues which is for the edification of the church. This takes places in the church, loud enough for the whole church to hear. Then there should always be an interpretation. 2...Praying in tongues, or the personal prayer language, which is done, aloud, but more under your breathe or somewhat louder than that. Those around you may hear you, but it is for the edification of the individual(as it has been explained to me)...However, I see it as just have a very personal time with God. This is very intimate time with the Father. Only you have your own prayer language, it is quite different from anyone else....sorta like a finger print. Everyone has different finger prints...even twins have different prints. So is the prayer language, each language is different. The purpose for this I believe is 2fold. To have an intimate time with God and so that Satan can not understand what you are praying. He can not read your mind. And since he is no longer part of heaven he has no understanding of the language(I believe). (Again this is an overall look from different scriptures to get an understanding of this). I hope that helps.

Act 2:11 Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.
Act 19:6 And when Paul had laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they began speaking in tongues and prophesying.
1Co 14:22-25 Thus tongues are a sign not for believers but for unbelievers, while prophecy is a sign not for unbelievers but for believers.
23 If, therefore, the whole church comes together and all speak in tongues, and outsiders or unbelievers enter, will they not say that you are out of your minds?
24 But if all prophesy, and an unbeliever or outsider enters, he is convicted by all, he is called to account by all,
25 the secrets of his heart are disclosed, and so, falling on his face, he will worship God and declare that God is really among you.
1Co 14:39 So, my brothers, earnestly desire to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues.

THERE ARE (3) TYPES OF TONGUES.(1)One is when a person is filled with the Holy Spirit and they speak in tongues and I can do that anytime.(2)Than there is a different type of tongues when you are in Church and God has something to say to the whole congregation.Someone will speak a loud (SPEAKING IN TONGUES) while either they or someone else translates what they just said( 3) Then there is a type of tongues that someone who is possessed by satan will speak.I have witnessed all 3.
It all depends on how deep of a relationship
you want with God.
I can surely tell you this
There is not one thing that God,Jesus, and
the Holy Spirit want more than is to have
a close loving relationship with
His Children.

I Corinthians 13:1

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

I Cor.13:1 speaks of tongues of men and angels. It says if we don't have charity one for another. Then its all for not. The manifestations of the spirit are intended to upbuild/sanctify the church.

Mark 16:
Jesus said

15And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

16He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

17And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

18They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

19So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

20And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

1 Corinthians 12

1Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.

2Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.

3Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

4Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

5And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.

6And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.

7But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

8For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

9To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

10To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

11But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

12For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

13For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

14For the body is not one member, but many.

15If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

16And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

17If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?

18But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.

19And if they were all one member, where were the body?

20But now are they many members, yet but one body.

21And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.

22Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:

23And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.

24For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked.

25That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.

26And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

27Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

28And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

26Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

27And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

28And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

29For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

30Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

31What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
29Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?

30Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?

31But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.
