Most, if not all evidences for Creationism are really anti-Evolution evidences, with Creationism cited as the only other possible alternative (the false dichotomy). I'd like to know a piece of evidence that is not anti-Evolution, but distinctly pro-Creationism. Something Creationism/the Bible predicts we should find that should not be based upon other scientific theories or other explanations.

Please, let your answers be as testable, parsimonious, empirical, consistent, and falsifiable as possible. Thanks.

How many of you have any of the traits listed below in your family, specifically in the past 2-3 generations....?

Mental Illness: depression, bipolar, manic depressive, etc....Suicidal Tendancies

Alcoholism or Drug Addiction of some type: whether they be street drugs, prescriptions, etc....

Felons or Close family that has done time in prison or jail....

Been a victim of domestic violence: note, this does not only include physical, but mental, emotional,financial....

As i said before, i am asking out of curiosity, not to use against anyone else...for i actually fit into most that i have listed myself....

If you do answer this question honestly, please list your religious or spiritual affiliation....As usual, no bashing....and i hope that i have not offended anyone by asking such a thing...

That a 15 year old girl would like to read? Also, do you know any online stores where I can by them? I don't go to church, because I'm really lazy and always so stressed out and busy that I need the sleep on Sunday mornings and nights. Why is it that atheists aren't content in simply believing as they believe, and leaving others to believe as they will? I constantly hear their mantra of having "Christianity shoved down our throat", but I've never actually seen that here in the United States. Why is Christianity hammered on, when Islam, Buddhism, Taoism, and others get a pass? Do Christians really offend atheists more than any other religion asserting the existance of God?

I don't agree with my teacher about his point below. How do I defend myself intelligently?:

An Atheist, purely defined, believes in nothing...no God, no standard, moral or rule that anything or anyone is an example above and beyond or below others. An atheist would not define oneself because that implies a category that can be manipulated. To believe in nothing or reject everything of any value...means proclamation of nothing.

So, once you name yourself an Atheist and say "I don't believe in God" you have just defeated the very definition of what it means to be an Atheist.

Several posters have argued that Christianity (as morphed from Judaism) is the oldest of religion since it goes back to "the start of time". This is an idea proposed in the OT, that the bible is the "only text" that dates back to the "actual" beginning of time. However, my question is this:
There were other (documented) religions far older than Judaism. (Sumerian, Hinduism, etc.). Abraham, the patriarch of the religion, was born around 1800 BC, thus heralding the start of the new religion. The pre-Mosaic religion of the Hebrews were polytheistic, animistic, and anthropomorphic. If the start of Judaism (and thus the later Christianity) was born about 1800 BC, how can that equate to "the start of time"?

Some will argue the stories were passed by oral tradition. But if the religion didn't even exist yet, who passed the oral tradition on? Where did the oral tradition begin with prior to Abraham? And if the idea of Yahweh existed prior to Abraham, why was no one following Him?

Seems that I have heard certain parts of the Bible interpreted in several different ways, and put to use in such varying doctinal theories, that it makes it very difficult to believe everyone believes the same thing (the Bible.) And that is why we have so much contention among Christians. What makes YOUR interpretation of the Bible the correct one, and why is the other guy wrong, if you are reading the same thing?

ps. I play the devil's advocate a lot when asking questions, so please don't try to read into my own personal beliefs and theories. .I am curious and like to learn, that's why I ask

A "day" doesn't mean literally 24 earthly hours?

We all know that the world goes in cycles...the orbit changes, etc...

What if one of those cycles is what is what is refered to as a "day"...so instead of "on the 6th day, God created man" but it means "during the 6th cycle of the world, God created man"...

Just a thought, what do you think about it?

I walked up to a club to meet my friends as it was closing and they had met this guy named Edward. He was cute, but not my type...1 of those guys who's too hot, that I probably don't have a chance with. I figured he was just hanging with my friends because he liked all the attention they were giving him. When I walked up and he was hugging one of them, and he raised is eyebrows and looked at me (my friend of course couldn't see this). I decided just to keep my distance, I'm not going to fall for someone who just likes to be a tease. He walked up to me and asked my name, then started flirting with me...and I tried not to show interest. We started talking a bit and found out we have the same major, the more we talked the more I liked HIM, not because he's hot but because of who he is...all night long he kept on giving me these lustful looks, but I couldn't say anything to him because my friend was there...by the end of the night I decided to not ask for his number, did I do right?
