Can you show me a single Bible verse that condemns the practice of slavery? If you were God, would you have written the Bible to include a commandment against slavery? If not, why not? Do you believe that slavery is an acceptable institution? Your God obviously does. He wrote an entire book of picky little rules (including a prohibition against boiling a goat in its mother's milk - Exodus 23:19), but never condemned slavery!

In fact, in Exodus 21:7ff, God gives instructions on how a father can sell his own daughter into slavery. If I followed this Biblical teaching, would you want to be friends with me? Would you let your children come over to my house to play with my children (the remaining children that I hadn't sold into slavery)?

The best-selling book in history ... authored by the creator of the universe ... and it never condemns pedophilia, child abuse, animal abuse, or domestic violence. In fact, Biblegod endorses the beating of children (Proverbs 22:15).

So what are your opinions on this?? Priests being forbidden to marry, does this show that they do not know the truth? I am not meaning to be disrespectful, and I am aware of Paul saying that in HIS opinion it was not the best for a man to marry.... Anyway, I just want your fair opinions ~ and keep it nice please!!

I've recently started going to church again, and have bounced around from various different ones trying to find the right place.
I think that personal spiritual beliefs are what's most important, so why is it that churches give people the option to officially "join" them? There are classes one has to take in order to become members.
What's the point of this, and is it biblical?

I have talked about this before; me and probably only a few thousand others have this hope, it's based more on hope than belief, I guess, that everyone who ever existed will one day go to Heaven.

Well regardless of whether or not it's potentially true, why do people react negatively to such an idea? The biggest counter argument being, "So you think Hitler and Stalin should go to Heaven?" Well, let me ask you this, whether you believe in a Heaven or not, if everyone went, all was forgiven, all was reconsiled, everybody was to spend the rest of time with people they loved, and even the worst of people were reformed, what would be so wrong with that?

Well, I personally think (again) it's all about the "retaliatory mind". Evil breeds a desire to punish the "evil doers", and thus, breeds more evil. It is my own suspicion that the Bible seems to make a good number of references to "Universalism", and perhaps this idea will catch on as it did 1800 years ago. (more to come in details)

Hi, Im from wisconsin.
to the prisoner and death's families loss. their families sould not blame and against each other, they sould prostestors against gun shop. like jesse jackson protestors ralley gun shop but he didnt win the case. why many families not strong enough to join to protestors againt gun shop cause they didnt think that not going to happen to them in the future? then some one in the families got killed from gangster, anger, cheaters, robbery, accidently and any reason? come on, be hearing, dont act like blind and deaf! that happen daily! read your local newspaper daily and releize that the gun volience is still out there day time and night time, outside and inside every where. the gun shop said if they close the gun shop, ganster and any body can still find a gun from stolen, lost, or sold. sure they will but if gun shop closing, that will be more less than now. I will write about this on every site to find a way to close the gun shop. youll see how less it will be. god bless families loss and hope you ll support.
for the families with suffer the depression heart broken. if this happen to any one in your families, death or prisoner... please think and be smart about it. use internet, find alot information from internet, copy and print it and save it for the lawyer and the court, talk to people, your families together or whoever to find a way to help you think right for try some one in your families case to win, it time to donate for gun guys to get out prisoner and protestor againt to close and shut down the gun shop owner! I felt that gun shop owner are so ingore like ku klux klan and skin heads! If racist kill white racist often, they will do something about it seriously but not color racist againt same racist, they just throwing gun guys in prison!
for the gun shop...close your gun shop why didnt you burn the name of the gun shop on the gun and burn the name of the customer who buy a gun from you at less if the protestors againt gun shop did not win the case for now.

"The ODD SPOT", is an online newspaper, which alerts everyone of burglers, and theives. People who come inot our space. Goldwing has given good advice on what to do.
