No it would not because he is in opposition to everything in SF from it openness and tolerant attitude to its generosity progressive thinking and freedom to think for oneself, everything Benedict is in oppositon to. Afterall SF gave us the UN built half the ships that won WWII, and is one of the most charitable places on Earth. I am sure the people of the great city of Saint Francis share their desire of a visit by the Pope with millions of other U.S. citizens.
Unfortunately this Pope is 80 years old and does not travel as well or as much as Pope John Paul II did when he was in his 60s.
