I am a Solitaire Wiccan. Why is this right for me? I greet each day as it comes, at peace with myself, I don't have to fear the Lord and Lady, because they have never threatened me with eternal damnation if I didn't honour them. Also, I do not have to get on my knees and pray to them for they are always around me in all things. They do not require an intermediarry to go thru to get to Summerland or to absolve my sins.
I don't have to "tithe" any moneies to a church, I do donate to charities and have worked with homeless people, I do not pester others, (well, I do like a good practical joke now and then on them.)
During my rituals, I feel close to them because I invite them to join, rather than be a spectator in the clouds.
It is hard to be specific as to the why it is right for me, but it is.

We believe that there is no God but Allah and Muhammad (peace be upon him)was the last and final messenger sent by God.
God sent many messengers through the ages, like Abraham, Noah, Moses, David, Jesus, etc, (may peace be on them all)the last being Muhammad. Each was sent with a book, a revelation for a certain time period. Prophet Muhammad has been sent with the Qur'an which is for humans till eternity.
Ofcourse, I cant believe what I do just because I am told to. I have reverted to Islam and the reasons are many.
Islam is the only religion which has the true concept of God. All other religions worship either human beings or clay statues. These have created god, while in fact, God is our Creator. Great difference.
Islam upholds the dignity of women. The so called "degradation" of women is only a media hype. IF you read the Qu'ran you will understand what I'm saying. Prophet Muhammad said : "The best of you are those who are best to their wives." He also said :"Paradise lies under the feet of the mother."
There are numerous scientific facts mentioned in the Qur'an, for example, the earth is round (not flat), the sun will extinguish after a certain period of time, living things are created from moslty water, there is a barrier between the sea (salty and sweet), big bang theory, and many many more. This was 1400 years ago when there was nothing like science!
The Qur'an says :
If you want to prove this book wrong, find just one contradiction in it.
Till date, no one has been able to find a single contradiction, whereas ALL the other religious scriptures have tons of contradictions! Surely, a book revealed by God cant have a contradiction. This is the falsification test of the Qur'an which science uses today fpr many theories.
We believe in the Day of Judgment, when everyone will be questioned abou their short life on earth.
Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world despite the great propaganda against it. Dozens of christian and catholic priests and saints enter the religion, but you will hardly find an islamic scholar leaving the religion.
The Qur'an says :
'The religion in the sight of God is Islam."
Thus, if you live in this age and period, the religion to follow is Islam.
There is immense peace, happiness and tranquility in islam.

I was baptised Catholic, Communion, Confession, Confirmation... then some of the answers I got to difficult questions started not making sense to me. I began investigating other beliefs - not because I wanted something else to believe, but because I really thought that by hearing other beliefs it would make mine stronger. One night, after I had stopped attending church and had begun investigating nature based religions, I was suffocating in my bed (according to my room mate). I had a Near Death Experience, but that term just doesn't cover what I experienced. The LOVE I felt surrounding me still brings tears of joy to my eyes... indescribable. However, as I was being sent back (my room mate was at my bed helping my body) and I was fighting being sent back, I was told "You are on the right path" and the feelings I got were that no matter what "religion" I chose, that as long as I remembered that Love, it was the right path.
So, not only was I *told* it was a good path for me, the "proof's in the pudding". I am less stressed since then (it has been 15 years), am more peaceful, and I have this incredible awareness of how we truly are "brothers and sisters" no matter what the exterior trappings or mental attitude is. Though I am still human, many of the negative emotions caused by anger, jealousy, hate, and FEAR have gone away.
My path isn't right for most people. The core of it is, for me, similar to the core of many other paths - harm none, Love others, let go let God, lose the suffering, etc. But most people need an icon to worship, and don't understand my lack of one.
Imagine what the world could be if every religion espoused being happy for those who were content, and only converting those who wanted conversion!

No prob . for one I don't consider it a path that I am on . Rather I know in my own heart and mind what I feel is to be true . I think that so many of us on this rock floating through the cosmos . Tends to have an exploded ego that we are somehow separate observers of the universe that its there for our amusement or study . In reality everyone of us are made from atoms that were created in the big bang . So that even though we are but a minute part we are "part of the universe " nothing more nothing less . Acting as moral human being is something I just do . Not in order to get into a perfect after life but to make this present life that much more pleasant . My best friend calls me a spiritual Atheist . LOL go figure

I fall into no specific faith because I do not choose to believe in all the concepts from any one religion. I am not everyones taste because others feel that I surely am missing out on something if I would believe this, but not believe that.
How do I know that I am on the right path, because girl I am happier now then I have ever been in my life. Others take note and notice me (especially little kids who often smile at me for like no reason). Kids like animals not to compare the two in a bad way know when a person is inherently good or bad. And I rarely feel depressed anymore. My God is loving and forgiving and I don't believe that a bad choice is necessarily a sin it can be but not always. A weight has lifted from my shoulders and I don't worry about God punishing me for my choices.

I am an atheist. Not exactly a faith or religion, but I feel like I should answer.
I feel that I am on the right path because I'm happy. If I was truly unhappy, perhaps I would look into religion. Atheism is always skeptical, which fits in well with my love of science and asking questions. I've never been content with just understanding that something happens; I want to know how and why.

I've said this many times before, Jesus is not a story written in a book, Jesus is an experience, an encounter. Kind of like being hit by a truck.
1 you know you've been hit by something really big,
2 you'll have things broken in you,
3 you'll never be the same or see the world in the same way again,
4 the reason it's called being born again is because there really is a death, the death of the person you used to be and like someone who has had a near death experience everything in life just looks different, more valuable, more precious, just more.
Like I said it is an experience, a living thing, an intimate relationship. He is not a concept written on a page, he is living and real. Every real Christian has had this encounter and that is why we happliy surrender our lives into his hands.

Wonderful question.
As a pagan, I feel the connection to the Earth in a way that is very special, and the connectedness isn't written down in any books, it is in my heart. It leads me to protect our one and only planet and to FEEL Her, smell the air, feel the wind and fire, immerse myself in the elements that are REAL all around me. Being a Witch as well means that I feel this connection in a very deep personal level that includes connecting to the magic that exists all around us,and being able to use magic to affect change for the good.
That makes me feel that this path is best for me is that everything I believe in is REAL, and that is the key word. Air is real, fire and water and earth are real. The artificiality of belief in something that was not only unknown but also unrealistic and misogynistic, was not working for me.
As an agnostic as well, I have come to the conclusion that it is presumptuous of me to say that there is a god, and it is equally presumptuous of me to say that there isn't one. I not only don't know, I KNOW that I don't know and I accept that because THAT IS THE REALITY THAT WE ALL SHARE. No one really knows, despite all the hyperbole that will ensue upon reading this.
But we all know that The Earth is real, and that god is a possibility that some people believe in, some do not, and some offer the viable alternative of saying we do not know.
Terrific question, and it was not my intent to offend anyone. We all have our beliefs, and bless you all and let's live together and give honor and respect to our many differences.
Blessings,
Lady Morgana )0(

I am grateful to have grown up as a Catholic, instilled with a love of God and humanity, a sense of social obligation, and an insistence on credible, consistent doctrine. In time, these have led me to agnosticism. Worship for me has never been about flattering the deity but about the human need for humility and proportion. My wish to help has grown from "earning" heaven to recognizing a common humanity and doing what is only right. And while I understand and appreciate the guiding myths that people live by, I prefer the unflavored version of life, less sure, more adaptable to changing circumstances. If there is a spirit in the world, it should not require acknowledgement, only implementation. If it is only imagined, a useful illusion is still useful. The point is to take care of each other in the life we behold, and let any "afterlife" take care of itself.

Trinity, I am a practitioner of a Pagan path. I have tried traditional religions (Christianity, Buddhism, Etc). Because of the state of the world I couldn't see a loving God looking down on us in love. I came to realize that there are secrets and hidden knowledge for living everywhere, so I ventured into Nature based Paganism (Shamanism, Wicca, Etc). I now believe that there may not be a Benevolent (or malevolent ) higher power, just forces in the universe that are powerful and beyond our understanding. We tap into these powers by utilizing the various religions. No religion in my belief is necessarily wrong. My belief compels me to study the various religions and help those "believers" prosper and grow in their religion of choice. In the end it's whatever gets one through the day...
I hope this helps.
Bless,
Brother Reggie
