It really annoys me, especially if you've bought loads of stuff and they can obviously see you don't have a bag with you, what are you expected to do - carry it all out of the shop in your arms? I think shop staff should at least ask if you want a bag, I get really annoyed when I have to ask them and they act like it's such an effort!

I can understand it's cheaper for the shop and better for the environment but there are times when you just really need a bag! Ppl from Southern Ireland are probably used to this but the bag tax isn't in the UK yet so shops here should at least offer us a bag when we've bought alot of awkward to carry stuff.

I respect all faiths equally. But don't you agree it's absurd for a Christian to state, as I have just read in a previous post, that we Jews 'WILL BELIEVE!' in Jesus....?

I know not all Christians hold this attitude, but quite a few seem to. Isn't it insulting to be told that we are going to totally reject our own religion, Judaism, and embrace Jesus as messiah when our faith has an entirely different belief???

I really don't think the person who said this would like it if I insisted that one day he would embrace a totally different belief!

If Eve was created as a help mate for Adam.... how does this translate to modern times? Women are suppose to help their husbands, have jobs and pay 1/2 the bills, cook, clean, have babies and raise them, pick up after him, tell him he's great, all this stuff....but why are men so crappy to women? Why are they so self absorbed? why did God make them that way? Are they born with giant egos? Why do they feel the need to crush you with their horribly mean mouths? And if you say not all men are like that why have I dated so many of them and all my friends too?

...when Christ died on the Cross He dealt with Sin, Satan, the Flesh, the Old creation.. and the list goes on.

I want to focus on this matter of the flesh. Even though it has been terminated by Christ's all inclusive death, day by day as believers we still have to deal with the flesh.
One brother said something. He said that as believers, each time we in our flesh, it means that we are not in spirit. Those two are the choices to each believer daily. We are either according to the flesh or the spirit. No inbetween.
But he went on to share that when we are in the flesh, loosing our temper, lusting, lying, etc, it shows us where we are and in a way, being there is so full of " death" that it has a way of forcing us to turn to our spirit.
Romans 8:6 shares
For the mind set on the flesh is death but the mind set on the spirit is life and peace.
How do you see this matter of the flesh and its function to make us more desperate to turn to our spirit and live from there instead.

I'm talking about those blowup pumpkins, turkeys, santas, reindeer. I hate them all! In my neighborhood just about everyone has at least one in their yard. What happened to just putting the traditional Christmas lights out?? It makes me what to go pop them all one night!

Stress related disorders, social inequality and pollution is on the increase owing to people's greed and lack of concern for the other beings.Political and legal measures have not yielded desired results. Hence, Spirituality (not religion!) where individual experiences the unity and mutuality with all beings-living and nonliving- may contribute to living in harmony, peace along with prosperity ?

It seems pretty cut and dry to me. Let other people beleive as they do, and don't bother them about it.

I think the world, or at least R&S, would be a good deal more peaceful if evangelicals took this to heart.

As a type in the Book of Exodos, the Lord is the " manna".
Manna means.. " what is it"
Our Christ is the Bread out of Heaven, here to supply us with Himself as our daily norishment and supply as we journey through this worldly wilderness. Tell us a little bit about how you gather and eat of Christ as the manna each day. The manna was collected in the Morning. HOw crucial is it to you as a believer to eat of Christ before yOu start your day?

If you were able to enjoy the Lord's sweet presence this morning, please share with us what the main enjoyment was:)
