Are they not really God's works that He does through me? And if so, then doesn't the glory really go to Him?

And doesn't that make much of the liturgy, well . . . . . . rather carnal?

Why can't I ask questions? If you want to ask a certain kind of question, then post one. Let me do what I do, you do what you do.

Phillipians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that HE which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.
Phillipians 2:12-13 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is GOD which worketh in you both to will and to do of HIS good pleasure.
Isaiah 26:12 LORD, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought all our works in us.
From the above passages of Scripture (KJV) it is plainly shown that it is GOD who works it in you both to will (you are made willing by the Spiritual birth) and to do of HIS good pleasure, i.e., when an individual has the Spirit of Christ within it is this superadded substance(Christ within) that make one lovingly willing to abide in peace. The old human nature remains after the Spirit of Christ is born within (superadded) a person; but the old human nature is not changed, it is somewhat subdued to the state of remission but from time-to-time raises up or comes forth out of remission to try and act out its natural ways. At the time the old human nature raises it ugly head, the Spirit gives forth utterances to cause one to cry, "Abba, FATHER; LORD help me or I perish"; this is chastisement or Godly sorrow.

Our culture today tells us to gratify ourselves. Our culture tells us we are our own reason. Our culture tells us that the purpose of life is to get what we want, do what we want, live however we want, and that no one has the right to tell us different.
How different is God's message!
So we do what the world says. We sate our appetites. Obesity is the greatest health care crisis in America. We sit around and gratify ourselves. America today is more socially disconnected, more prone to mental illness, more vulnerable to sexual crimes against children and women, more saturated with pornography and everything that goes in its wake— divorce, prostitution, hatred of women, sexual perversion, etc. than we have ever been before.
How different is God's way!
Young Americans today are more unhappy, more Atheist, more prone to Suicide, more prone to be either the perpetrators or victims of sexual and violent crime than at any time in our history. School shootings by dis-connected and mentally-ill students at a time when billions of dollars a year are spent in the media on the message 'everyone is ok'.
How different is God's Way!
Surrender and be Free.
Serve and be Liberated.
Confess your Sin, and be Purified.
Give your life away, and gain Forever.
This is really what's driving the growth of Christianity in America. People discovering the Peace, the Joy and the Blessings of God's Way. It's the greatest revival in the History of America, and it's happening almost un-noticed by the Media and the Powers that Be.
If you are saved and have the Holy Spirit, you have made yourself a servant— a slave even— of God. So then, you are doing God's work.
To your second question: Yes!
To your third question: Yes!

There are many things we do in the name of God that are carnal.
But the liturgy is for the praise and glory of God.

God works through us to will and to do of His good pleasure, says the Bible. He does the work through us and He gets all the glory.

Did you really ask all these questions to get to the answer you knew was the correct one before you began?
Works are the physical manifestation of your faith.
It just seems like you took the long road to get to what should be an obvious answer.

Depends how you want to look at it.
I like to think that God would give us a bigger sense of accomplishment, though, as long as it doesn't cause arrogance.
