I'm talking about those blowup pumpkins, turkeys, santas, reindeer. I hate them all! In my neighborhood just about everyone has at least one in their yard. What happened to just putting the traditional Christmas lights out?? It makes me what to go pop them all one night!

If you hate the inflatables (that is what they are officially called), then you do not want to join:

or

http://www.MyHolidayDisplays.com

Airblown Inflatables were first manufactured in the fall of 2000 by Gemmy Inc. Gemmy is the company that gave us the Dancing Hamsters.

The first inflatables were a Santa, Snowman and the Grinch. Following the popularity of the inflatables after the first year, the lines were expanded to include other makes, models and seasons.

Jason Jones, president of the Airblown Club, is the self proclaimed King of Inflatables and has a Christmas display with several thousand inflatables. Information regarding his display can be found at http://www.kingofholidayinflatables.com/

Glad to know I'm not the only one. I first saw them about 10 yrs ago when Pokemon first became popular and this one neighborhood I lived in had giant Pikachu blow ups among their other Christmas decorations. Looked ridiculous.

Where I live now, there is one house that I roll my eyes driving by it because they have at least 10 gargantuan blowups in their yard, which is tiny to begin with, for every single holiday and in between. They add to it every year. Most people around here have traditional lights though.

I can't even begin to imagine forking over $100 a piece for them which is what they charge at the local Walmart. Haven't seen them anywhere else.

I hate them cuz theyre annoying and ugly looking, but I can be happy becuse I wont be having any of those in my yard. Those dumb blowup reindeer, santas, spongebobs(yes there are spongebob holiday blowups), turkeys, etc are just a waste of money and space.

I agree - I have seen MAYBE 2 at most that were okay looking and I still wouldn't put it on my lawn. I definitely think they look tacky and not only does just about everyone have one on their lawns but some people even attempt to put numerous ones up, as if one isn't enough, them take up the entire yard with them. Its silly, I'm a traditional lights person myself!

They cost a fortune and they look stupid. Even worse are the great big plastic reindeer and sleigh people put on TOP of their houses!! Have they not got better things to do with theri time and money???

It looks ridiculous when people over fill their lawns with ''big balloons'' I don't like them one bit. I like the traditional decorated houses. Lights and lighted candy canes along the walk. that would win my vote :)

It's overkill for sure. It looks like a tacky carnival out there at Christmastime.

I think it's a waste of money, just people showing off. At least you're not a follower..
