If you are patient, please read the prior question "I want to go to God but have a lack of faith?" I am very co-dependent on others...meaning what people say or do really affect me. When I don't have friends around me or no one to hang out with I'm sad and when I'm not alone I'm happy. Tonight, there is church women's service, there is also a co-dependent anonymous meeting...a lot of the answers on the prior question was saying that I need therapy and need to love myself first instead of go to God for help. Is going to God because you have no where else to turn, a bad reason to go to him. Do I need to find faith in myself first before I go to God...or will he accept me the way I am.

I understand it is a sin. It is not sin against God. It is more of an organizational disobedience.

What is the penalty of this sin/ disobedience?

I must take my grandchild with me in a stroller to do my errands. I do appreciate the people who help me by opening those heavy doors or holding them open until I can get through with that awkward stroller. It's been interesting to see who will hold a door open for us.

Here is the results of my own survey:
First place goes to African-American men. They have the very best manners.
Last place goes to people who are talking on their cell phones. They are a rude, self-centered bunch and will let the door slam in your face.

By the way, I'm a high school student... a lot of my friends are either Christian or atheist.. mostly christian, but I actually know more about christianity than they do.. for I have read the bible, while they don't even go to church on Sundays..
I feel the need to tell them more about Islam.. but religion isn't really the topic teens like to talk about often..

Denying marriage rights to homosexuals is discrimination to a sexual minority, thus it is creating a second class by not affirming equal rights.

CHICAGO - Chicago's police department is investigating an officer's use of a Taser last month on an 82-year-old woman who was swinging a hammer when police arrived.

Officials with the city's Department on Aging went to Lillian Fletcher's home Oct. 29 to make a welfare check, and called police when they saw Fletcher in a window swinging a hammer back and forth, police spokeswoman Monique Bond said Tuesday.

Officers arrived and in an attempt to subdue Fletcher one of them used their Taser, Bond said. The department is trying to determine if the officer violated department policy regarding the use of stun guns.

Fletcher's granddaughter, Traci Taylor, told the Chicago Sun-Times that her grandmother suffers from schizophrenia and dementia.

"My grandmother is easily confused," Taylor told the newspaper, adding that the elderly woman can be belligerent but is about five-foot-one and no more than 160 pounds.

I just don't get it.
I'm jewish but I never ever wished anybody any harm.
Why is this happening?
I just got off youtube and there are so many anti-jews videos on there, it's so horrible.
Surely some jewish people are not so good but this applies to any nation. I really don't thinnk there are more bad jews than there are bad christians or muslims or buddhists

yesterday I prayed to the lord and asked him why anybody would go to hell for not believing in him and why its a sin to be gay. and when I slept I had a dream and he told me that it was all a lie. that the people who wrote the bible were wrong and that they wrote it how they wanted to.

he told me he wanted to see how many people would actually believe in something without proof. and he told me that according to him gay people dont go to hell. and I know it was true because I truly felt him inside me and I swear I know it was really him.

"Let a woman learn in silence with all submissiveness. I permit no woman to teach or to have authority over men; she is to keep silent." (1 Tim 2:11-12)

"Wives, be submissive to your husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior." (Ephesians 5:22)

"As in all the churches of the saints, the women should keep silence in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be subordinate, as even the law says. If there is anything they desire to know, let them ask their husbands at home. For it is shameful for a woman to speak in church. . . . what I am writing to you is a command of the Lord." (1 Cor 14:33-35, 37)

ugh. you get the picture. So why does the catholic church teach this? Does it believe that women are inferior to men, in intelligence and otherwise? And is it implying that men are gods on earth? wtf!

so women can't be leaders or speak in public?
Why?

About every other day, I see christians on YA bashing religions like the Jehovah Witnesses and the Mormons, telling them right in the face that their religion is false and a cult founded by a con artist and that if you don't get out, you will go to hell. Do you really think this would convince them to have their membership removed right away?

you all preach to "love thy neighbor" but your actions clearly says otherwise.

If you were a real Christian, you would say something like "yeah. that's cool with you being a Mormon and all. no problem with me. Hey, tell you what, my pastor is going to speak about very interesting topics this Sunday. want to come? you could learn a thing or two. how about it?"

but nooooooo... instead they say:

ATTENSHUN! YOUR CHURCH IS SATANIC AND EVIL AND FALSE! GET OUT OF THEIR CULT OR GO TO HELL FOREVER! CHRISTIANS RULZ, JWs AND LDS SUCK! W00T! W00T! W00T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

seriously. you don't sound like a christian. you sound like a idiot. and don't you
