I am amazed at all the grousing about how God has "been kicked out of public schools" and all the MIS-INFORMATION that it is illegal for a student to pray.

from my answer . . .
Religion IS allowed in school, as long as it is student initiated and VOLUNTARY. Students can pray alone or in groups during non-instructional time, and can form after school prayer and bible clubs if other non-curriculum clubs are allowed to meet.

Since voluntary, student led prayer is, and always has been allowed, I wonder what those who grouse about how "God has been taken out of school" really want. Do they want students to be FORCED to pray ?

Also, how would YOU feel if another religion was FORCED on you in school ? How would you feel if you Buddhism
were the majority religion and THAT religion was in the schools. That apparently is the situation in Hawaii, and in World Net Daily has an article about pre-game prayer in Hawaii. (see link)

What's the Christian view of sexual fetishism and roleplay? Is it viewed as sinful, or is it okay? Thanks in advance.

"Show me a Christian who does not pray and I will show you a live man who does not breath" Matthew Henry

A recent survey was done among Christians. It showed that only 17% of Christians today read their Bible on a regular basis. One minister brought out that he felt like this generation was the last generation to read God' Word.

If you believe creationism is a theory like evolution, would astrology fall under the definition also?

Should we teach astrology in public schools?

On top of the raging fires destroying southern california (materialistic) would we have to think of this as those "signs from God" at the end times. Or to Jesus's return, or no?

It would explain why we don't have first person accounts written by the twelve.

Think about it, even Peter was thought to be written by one of Paul's friends.

John could be someone other than the original 12...

Considering that they were mostly written after his death.

What do you think?

There is no abosolute source that says any of the new testament was written by any of the original disciples.

I know some early martyrs were taken off the calendar due to not knowing enough historical information about them, but there are some early church martyrs who stayed on the calendar (St. John and Paul the martyrs, St. Nerus and Achilles the martyrs, St. Peter and Marcellus the martyrs) even though there's barley any historical information about their lives, while some saints whose historical acts are know (St. Cassian of Imola, St. Apollonius, St. Victor the Moor) have been taken off the calendar. So how did they decide which saints to put on, and howcome some saints that we barley know nothing about stayed on while others which we know a lot about have stayed on?

Islamic culture separates woman from men. A world with feminity literally stripped out. No pictures of the female form, and no females to be seen, other than the distant murmerings of hijabbed creatures scurrying about.

Kissing and hand holding between men and woman is strictly forbidden. In fact, its against the law in some regions. In contrast, its very common for muslim men to hold hands and even kiss. Its no wonder this is a "norm", after all, these are men totally deprived of woman.

Basically, all heterosexual expression is demonized and forbidden. Put it another way. Imagine that a culture like Islam existed somewhere in the world, but was not religious in nature. How would it be described? Wouldnt it be labeled a homosexual culture?

i'm adopted and my birth dad abused me in every way possible from ages 6-10. i hate his guts. and my birth dad's brothers (my real uncles) also took advantage of the fact that i was a young girl who couldn't defend herself and they were drunks who couldn't get a girlfriend, so they used me. I hate their guts also. i hope they all burn in hell along with my adoptive father's brother who is such a jackass to his baby son. and also uncle jackass's girlfriend. so that is 5 people that i hate. the service at church last night was about forgiveness and the verse (i don't remember the passage) said something like if you don't forgive others, God won't forgive you/ i became a Christian when i was 12, and since i refuse to forgive these people, does that mean that God didn't forgive me? i want to forgive them, but i don't know how. my dad and uncles are in jail (i'm allowed 0 contact with them) and U. jackass and his gf should be in jail (but they're not, yet...) help!!!!

I am Roman-catholic and I really really really wanna explore wicca! I know its not evil and It looks really interesting =D I just wanna know if I can study, learn, and perform wicca without doing the initiation ritual? Because I'm gonna continue my catholic faith along with the wicca. And I think that years from now I'm going to leave wicca and just stick with catholic, But I'm not totally sure. now this question is not for people who dont like wicca, and who think it is evil, and if your gonna be like that, keep your comments to yourself. Thank you!
