No one would want to stay there very long if such a boring and depressing place really existed. Isaac Asimov and Mark Twain agreed with me about this. When I was age 12, I told Dad that, and he nearly had apoplexy. One of my college pals told our group that if Hell did exist, we should all meet there on the north side. People who say they want to go to Heaven sound like parrots repeating something they do not comprehend at all.

If you view Heaven as a place where people play harps, fly around and discuss their favorite type of cookie while sipping tea, and you view hell as a really cool place with cool people that party all the time in a black and red themed bar, then “why would people want to go to heaven and hang out with boring people” is a good question.
If you view Heaven as a place where advanced souls share higher energy while basking in the infinite wisdom and love of the spirit of God, and hell as a negative angry dark place filled with the horrible, gut wrenching cries of those damned to never know the infinite love and acceptance of God, then it makes sense that people want to go to heaven vs. hell.
If you recognize that heaven and hell are concepts that were created by man to control the behavior of other people that were/are in the most basic moral stage (fear of punishment / desire for reward) and that the universe is much more complex than the simple black/white, good/bad concepts expressed by heaven and hell, you can make decisions about how you interact with others from a higher place than the pre-conventional obedience and punishment orientation.
Here is a moral scale that shows the stages of development:
Level 1 (Pre-Conventional)
1. Obedience and punishment orientation
2. Self-interest orientation
( What's in it for me?)
Level 2 (Conventional)
3. Interpersonal accord and conformity
( The good boy/good girl attitude)
4. Authority and social-order maintaining orientation
( Law and order morality)
Level 3 (Post-Conventional)
5. Social contract orientation
6. Universal ethical principles
( Principled conscience)

you must be hanging with the wrong people
I am going there for the music...
have you heard Big Daddy Weave or Newsboys lately...
I mean come on...these guy can rock and roll...
and I wanna dance.
Really, there are some good hearted people
that I miss, and I wanna hook up with them.
that's why I wanna go there.
"What dreams may come"
shows you own personal paradise,
a personal hell, and a citty of wisdom....
what if, darling, what if.
it's not about beer, sex and drugs...
not really. think about it,
beer and drugs give you a hangover and leave
you sadder than before you took them.
Sex is what 5 minutes of pleasure or pain,
depending how you do it...wink...
and a lifetime of struggling to get closer
than skin close to someone who may or maynot
put up with you????
really, you would trade the life eternal
for 5 to ten minutes of a rollercoaster
that charges you an arm and a leg admission???
you are capable of figuring out the math here.
give up a temporary pleasure for a lifetime
of joy...geee, makes it difficult don't it?
Look around you and see for yourself.
Science is proving that pray really does
heal people, and that being kind to others
can be good for your heart, and extend your
lifetime...booze and drugs? shortens it,
because you alter your judgements and your brain.
do you really want to be 65 and on the streets,
scamming for another hit
or would you rather be 65, grandpa to 7
and enjoying your "goodlife"

Well, the problems you are having with your friends is maybe you are judging them a little to harshly. They have their purpose in life as we all have. You are where you are in life because we bring them into our lives to learn something, let them live their lives, unless they are doing something that is legal, you don't want that either. ask God, why did I bring this into my life to learn something and you will find the answer.
By the way, as for the Heaven thing, I have had a the spirit move through me and I mean through me. A human on earth could not experience for long because we are not able to stand it.It was the pure essence of this pure love, a feeling I could never felt it again. I cannot explain, but it took my breath away. My father had passed away and I know It was him letting me know that he was alright and that he was very happy. Heaven defiantly not boring place, and you will never ever want to leave it again. What ever you want to do over there just think in your mind and you will be there.Talk about heaven Jesus told a crowed bunch that eyes have not seen nor ears heard what He has Prue pared for His children.

My grandparents that went before me and my boyfriend who died recently were great people. They lived a life of happiness and helped others.
If knowing that giving back to my comunity, loving others here on earth and making it a better place to live, will give me a chance to see them in heaven one more time, I am going to live the good life.
Sinners are a dime a dozen these days anyway, it's time I rise above the ashes and do it MY way :)

As i been taught people in hell are not going to be dirty, maybe they will be BURNT, because I can imagine people in hell burning and sreaming....... for centuries to come, they will all be in pain, while the people in heaven will be sitting on a cloud eating fruits and getting a nice manicure..

When we die, we will no longer be in our bodies. The body is what craves all the things that you are thinking about, but the soul longs to return to its creator. Heaven is total existence with the creator in harmony with the universe. In heaven we will be angels, with no further need for earthly necessities and wants.
I could phrase all of this in Christian terms, since that is what I am, but I have put it into more universal terms.

Boy are you very mislead. 1st we are all sinners and God
loves sinners and forgives them and excepts them into heaven. what greater message than unconditional love.
The devil does not love you and you can not trust him.
Its not like hell is going to be 1 big party. The only way to true and lasting happyness is threw God and heaven.

In heaven, we won't starve and we won't have any worries again since everything is provided with God. Besides, I'm looking forward to enter the paradise God had promised.

Hell is no eternal party. It's a place of pain and torment forever and forever. Now you know why I want to go to Heaven....or do you get it?
