Hi Lisa,
You've got some excellent answers already. I think Southpaw and Don H have hit the nail on the head.
Generally critical Christians have not been changed by Christ. Their natures still reflect the "old man" and not Christ. Sadly these characters have no place in the heavenly kingdom so there needs to be a great deal of self assessment.
Our character is something that we will take with us to heaven.
This is suggested by the list of the 12 tribes in Rev. 7. where Dan and Ephraim are missing. When we examine the character types of these two, Dan was a backbiter and judgmental; Ephraim followed after idols and denied God.
Quite often the most judgmental people of any religion are the legalists.
Do not confuse legalism with fundamentalism although sometimes the difference becomes blurred because many fundamentalists are legalists who are determined to furnish their own salvation rather than accept the free gift.
God Bless,
H'chat.

Every group has people who are more judgmental of others. I think its more of an individual thing than a group thing.
You can't blame the entire group of people for a few crazies.

Both religious and non-religious alike. All of them.
Especially my own. There are bad apples in every crowd.
It is just certain individuals who make the whole group look bad.
I've seen some very hurtful answers from my fellow Christians and do not condone it.
We are suppose to teach others of our faith in love and humility, not in self-riotousness and hate.
Shouldn't we all learn to communicate with each other with love and respect?

It change right into a steady procedure for me. no man or woman element "became me off" to faith. I bear in mind determining by age 8 that Santa, tooth fairy and Easter Bunny weren't authentic, and that i utilized that to God besides. So i change into agnostic for fairly a lengthy time period. Then at 13-14, I did locate that i change right into slightly became off by how judgmental a number of my Christian pals were, and they were being advised what track change into "evil", and that dancing change into undesirable and so on. It in simple terms looked very spectacular to me. yet then as I were given older and studied historic past, I said that each and every one the Gods of thequaint, have by extend been disregarded as "quant" and they were made up in simple terms to describe issues the historic human beings did not understand. So my question change into at that aspect change into, whatespecially God any diverse? all of them do essecially an similar element. supply an evidence, or a minimum of make those who trust imagine there is an evidence to each and everything.

I"m not sure if it's the group, or the individual. I have found judgmental people of all faiths, and non-believers.

You could say atheists.
You could say Christians.
You could say any denomination of any protestant religion.
You could say Muslim.
You could say Jew.
I think we all have disturbed, confused, and angry people in all of our religions. Unfortunately, they all want to be seen and heard.
I know that I'm human, and undeserving of all the blessings God gives me. I hope that most people wouldn't point out my failures, please. How wonderful a world it would be if we could all, being knowledgeable and loving of one another, if we could see the failures, the crimes, and the many actions we all take, and if we could simply look at each other, and simply say to our brothers and sisters in humanity:
"I don't know everything, but I know you don't either. But together, we can help each other."
And even if some do not agree: "Judge not, lest ye be judged."
