i went to a spiritualist church on manday (im not religious), andf there was a medium there, she spoke to me and described a woman and a man with her named bill, she was spot on with everything, i didnt give any clues, it really freaked me out, the woman was doing this for free so i doubt it was a scam, what do you reckon??

Ok, please, somebody tell me the REAL ISLAM!!! I have been on websites, read books, etc...

What is REAL ISLAM?? Is it peace, war?
Who was Muhammed? Peaceful merchant or war monger?
Does Islam want to take over the world or make peace with it?

I have never gotten a clear answer on this, it goes from one extreme to the other.

Please do not spread hate, I really want to know...

I have been to 3 in lifetime and only seen this once.

Yesterday nearing the end of my Grandfathers ceremony the preist held communion, I dont remember this being discussed before hand and it felt slightly innapropriate. He had also changed swapped some of the selected hymns, even though I am not a Christian I don't mind singing hymns but there were some there I did not feel comfortable with.

Is this normal procedure?

Like the older Witches were practicing Witchcraft but Gardner made all the things they did into an organized thing that worked out with the Gods and Goddesses?

I'm just curious...I'd like to know...is Wicca just a Witchcraft thing?
And yes...I see drawing down the moon and talking and praying to the gods and goddesses as Witchcraft as well so don't go there.

When someone who is straight claims that homosexuality is a choice and yet when discussing his own sexuality says this: >>I can't help that I'm straight. I was born this way. I think I should be treated as equally as anyone else here<<<

Now I don't like to point fingers or anything and I mean no disrespect but isn't this a little bit contradictory? He wants to be treated well and no reason why he shouldn't be treated well, but, if his claim that sexuality is a choice he can not say that he can't help but be straight but not give the same consideration to homosexual orientation.

No offense intended. Just seems to me that if a person constantly says gay is a choice can not in the same breath claim he has no choice but to be straight. Seems to me to be something wrong with this assertation.

I am teaching a class on world religions, and I would appreciate your input on a few things:

1) how long have you been following witchcraft?

2) if you left from another religious faith, what was it and why did you choose to do so?

3) I'm not sure if this is the right phrasing - but how devout do you consider yourself to be?

4) is there a specific Deity you worship above others?

5) do you ever feel ostracized or ridiculed for what you believe?

Thank you so much for your input!

Stories we hear alot.....If a man of the cloth engages in an affair with an 18 year old who is vulnerable, for a number of years he can if he is sorry lead a church again. If the same situation happened in a secular orginisation ie a hostel or youth club, that person would probaly never work in that feild again!!! I know God forgives...I believe in it fully...what are peoples veiws and thoughts on this????

If you come onto YA and ask Christians questions about God (be they serious or just for the sake of getting us upset), and you aren't going to believe the answers we give you, then why do you ask? I mean, what's the point? Are you just trying to make us mad? Are you trying to get us to doubt our faith? If so, why? I just don't get it.

I mean, we don't come in here saying, "Hey, Athiests, you're stupid for not believing in what we believe in!" Yes, we tell you that you will probably go to Hell if you don't believe, but that's part of our duty as Christians. How could we call ourselves so if we didn't tell you what you should know, should you ever decide to give God a chance? But Athiesm isn't a religion, it's a lack of one, and what you say to us, if we believe you or not, does us no good either way.

Just a quick quote: To those who say there is no God, for your sake, I hope you're right.

The Colorado Rockies advertise themselves as a "Christian Baseball Team." When they were searching for players, they asked for those with "character," insinuating that those that were not Christian lacked this trait.

They have enjoyed monumental success on the field and it remains to be seen whether or not this success will continue to the final games.

The question is, do you think God would guide one team to win over another that is made up of players from various religions? Do you believe that Christianity should be a criteria for playing good baseball?
