how do you know the big bang is real? because you read it

2007-10-25 02:06:55 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 0 0

to be fair, how do we know anything is real?

Most things are a mixture of supposition and deduction

And how do we know that the miracles Jesus performed were not real? Both sides assume and there will never be a concrete answer concerning Jesus and miracles!

Thats what makes it so fun debating; it's just when people refuse to listen to the other side of the debate that things get bad

EDIT: looking at banofcha's message, that is a good point. If the apostles believed in the miracles enough so that every single one was executed (and Peter had previously refuted Jesus three times yet went on to suffer an upside down crucifixion) that would suggest that they believed he was the son of god pretty thoroughly. hmm but then again

thinking of an 'imitation' is the result of these false versions of the Word. The true Word, the KJV, does not mention any IMITATION. An imitation means it is false. the right word is FOLLOW. Follow me as I follow Christ. We are not to 'imitate' anything. If we are given true salvation, the Holy Ghost, it will change our lives, our nature and give us the same holy nature as Jesus had. and to those of you who are in a dead religion, thinking miracles have ceased, you are into satan's kingdom and speaking his lies. No such thing. Jesus said, IF YOU BELIEVE..... (you think you believe)...but Jesus put this test out there and has not take it away, Mark 16, THESE SIGNS SHALL FOLLOW THOSE WHO.... BELIEVE. healing the sick, speaking in tongues, casting out devils, and Jesus even said, the works that I do shall you do and GREATER. Now you do call Jesus a lie to deny this. I have sent storms away, I mean TORNADOS. More than once. I know other BELIEVERS who have done this and have seen it done by another. I have healed sick ones and been healed a good many times. I can discern spirits, as God told us to do; have cast them out. I do not care if you believe this or not. You cannot make it not be true. The signs of true belief are still very much at work and the sure sign. You who deny these, prove that you are UNBELIEVERS. Yes, we can and do work miracles, by faith in what Jesus told us to do.

Simple enoguh. When sombody who cannot walk or see, and his family and friends have known that was the case for years and then they can see and walk, there can be no such illusion that would last over a long period of time.

Have you attached bad energies to this question by any chance?

Do you really think that 10 of His Apostles would have died a Martyr's death for someone that performed fake miracles? They walked and talked with Jesus, saw Him perform these miracles first hand.John the Apostle was banished to the isle of Patmos.Judas, the one who betrayed Jesus went out and hung himself when he realized what he had done. These men would not have done what they done for a fake.

There is one real big flaw in your question. If all those things were faked, and his followers were "in on it" then they would have spilled the beans, as it were, rather than die over lies.

And I doubt many really care whether you are a warlock, or a paganist, or whatever.

His miracles are noted in other historical texts of the time - specifically, the eyewitness of his Resurrection is noted by the Roman historian Josephus. I know that doesn't prove anything but I thought you might find it interesting to know they are not only in the Bible.

Nice question really. Well, if Jesus had no effect on peple today , we could say that Christianity was a deceit. But Look at those who were healed , those whose lives were changed .Those who find peace and happiness in Him and who iam one of them. etc.

Good Luck!!

1. his followers did not know who he really was at that stage
2.raising a man from the dead (dead for three days which meant he would smell in their climate) is not a grand illusion.

Met a warlock recently-someone said that was an oldfashioned name to call them-is it?

By God being able to save my sinful soul and putting the holy spirit in me is a miracle in itself. The spirit leads me into knowing God and he is true to his word.

In the time of Jesus a Bic lighter would have been a miracle.
