I live in India and was raised Hindu. I visited America about four years ago and someone told me that I would go to Hell if I didn't believe this story he was about to tell me.

He made me scared, so I listened. He told me about Jesus and the Bible. I had never heard of the things he spoke of, but I held them close to my heart.

I kept up correspondence with him and for four years, I have prayed, read the Bible three times, even fasted and prayed for the Holy Spirit and listened for God.

But, honestly, the whole thing just doesn't feel right. All thosew stories from the Bible are just legends, much like our own ancient myths in India.

Why would God expect me to believe this one is a true account? Honestly, I feel no reason at all in my intellect, or in my heart to believe these familiar myths.

This religion seems silly to me and my friends, yet my American friends say I will go to Hell?

None of this seems right at all. You must believe something unbelievable to go to heaven?

I have a co-worker who will not stop talking...i can't even concentrate on working because of her..she is very nosey and she talks about everybody..The site of her drives me crazy..How can i get this lady to just leave me the f**k alone!! He wants to be Sludge from Nate the Great. I am having trouble finding a brown or beige sweatshirt and sweat pants. Do you have any suggestions that I can use for the base of the costume? I am unable to sow a suit from a pattern..i suck at sowing. I am able to hand stitch. I havent had luck finding a costume at any of my local stores...and the ones that I did see were for infants look way too hot anyway. He needs to be able to wear the costume to school. Please help!

What makes you so special that you actually believe you are right when you can't prove you are right?

Isn't it the height of arrogance to think that you know best for everyone? Isn't that what all the petty dictators throughout history believe also?

Atheists believe there is no God and (generally) those that believe in God are ignorant yet they only have their beliefs and no real proof that there is no God.

Believers believe in God and (generally) that those that don't are ignorant yet they only have their beliefs and no real proof that there is a God.

Why does most people here try and force their beliefs onto others? Can't you just live in peace and leave others alone in their beliefs?

THIS is what most wars have been fought over. Not religion. It's arrogant people thinking they are the only ones that know the truth and feel the need to force others to believe just as they do.
