I am a Christian as well, and I believe that comes from simply being human, and thinking that somehow you will be able to elude the consequences. Another thought is that God doesn't "judge on the spot" so no immediate discipline...but still that is no excuse for ignoring the Bible.

Judging does not exist unless there is a consequence. In a court of law the judge sentences and has the power to put you in jail or fine you. If the christian or otherwise is "judging" they have no power to condemn you for it so don't worry about it. You are just as guilty of judging, accusing them of judging, as they are for judging you.

these christians may also be judging the sin not the person. If a person believes something with all their heart and someone else says it isn't true or does something to the contrary it can be very offensive and personal. You can't blame them for being upset with the other person.

Yes! I was house-sitting for this guy and when he came back we got chatting and he was a theology professer but didn't like organised religions, and I'm a sunday school assistant, and he gave me the best bible lesson I have ever had and it went on until four in the morning and he was saying that I am doing exactly what the bible told us not to, that I was teaching kids a subject I hadn't studied (he is quite right!) and I went home and started reading the bible straight away!
Now I read it every night (but I'm only up to the first book of Kings so far because I keep having to go back and read it again and check with other versions) but I told my old sunday school teacher at church that I was reading the whole bible and she said not to, that it will confuse me! And now I am really confused about whether to get ordained and teach others that they need to study the bible or to stay away from organised religions all together.

Judging others is a sin and no man is without sin. Judging someone else for a sin when you are not yourself sin free is simply committing more sin.

Christians will judge people because they are sinners, as is everyone else. It does not imply that they do not pay attention to the bible.

It's a human trait to judge others, funny how some people never judge others as better than themselves.

Some of "us Christians" do pay attention to the Bible. Some of us not only read it every day, we study it in depth and try to apply it to our lives.

Not all of us do go around judging others. "We as ChrisTIANs" all of us, huh? That's a sweeping generalisation. (btw this is a judgmental sort of question, isn't it!)

The bible has so many things to learn about. We're all sinners that's why we keep asking for God's forgiveness daily and it's the same reason God sent His own son Jesus to die for all our sins.
Some one might have the weakness of being judgemental, and then the Holy Spirit convicts them to repent afterwords. It's the same reason as to why you will say something and then regret why you said it. Some one will lie, steal, practice immorality by lusting in their mind, hatred, and so many others. All this happens because we're human, but repentance comes in all the time.

The Bible also says to "judge with RIGHTEOUS judgment."
We are to judge INSIDE the body of Christ with righteous judgment, but God will judge those outside the Body.
So, for example, if someone wants to JOIN the Body of Christ, should we let those join who are known to be PRACTICING sin? Shall we accept their sin, and ignore it, and let them join? No. We cannot tell someone who is a murderer, or an adulterer, or an idolaterer, or a drunkard, or a homosexual that it is ok to join the Body of Christ, and still practice their sin. It would be wrong in the eyes of God. Do we hate those who are sinning? No! We don't hate anyone. But, we don't condone their sin, and cannot lie to them and tell them things just to "tickle their ears" God's word is God's word.
Telling them God's word is NOT JUDGING THEM!
Now, if I went up to someone I knew who was sinning, and said to them, "You're going to Hell, because you practice this sin." then, I would be judging them. But, telling them what God says about sin, and how they can escape it, is NOT JUDGING them! God loves them, and does not wish for them to perish, and Christians feel the same way. We are not condemning them. We are warning them of what will happen, according to God's word. If they never read the Bible, then, how would they even know there is a way out of their sin, unless someone tells them?
Jesus said "Go preach the good news" (the Gospel) He didn't say, "Just preach it to the ones who don't sin, because you may offend the ones who do sin." How does that make sense. Jesus said "I did not come for the righteous, but for the sinners."
We do this out of love for our Lord, and out of love for the people who don't know Him. God Bless

The law by which all men will be judged is contained in the Holy Bible. Christians preach the Bible. That is not the same as judging people.

True enough, but are you not judging us right now? The same fault you see in other's we can see in you, so why does thou cast stones? The world would be a better place if Christians started to live their faith and stopped talking about it. This is a truth and no one needs a GOD to see that if they open their eyes and hearts their actions toward others would change, and the world would be a better place.
