Its a test of faith. The fun thing about this test is you dont have to pay a fee to try out. And its 100 % pass rate if you have enough faith.

Isaiah 45:15 Truly, you are a God who hides yourself, O God of Israel, the Savior.

Psalm 19:1 The heavens are telling the glory of God; and the firmament proclaims his handiwork. 2 Day to day pours forth speech, and night to night declares knowledge.3 There is no speech, nor are there words; their voice is not heard; 4 yet their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world.

On one hand, you are right, God hides Himself, yet, as the Word of God is a double edged sword, His majesty and glory is visible everywhere. He hasn't hidden Himself from you. You have hidden yourself from Him. If you want God to reveal Himself to you, you gotta go after Him.

Paradoxes everywhere, and that is life and how this God you seem to be complaining about designed it. But God has a few words for ones like you.

Isaiah 29:16 You turn things upside down! Shall the potter be regarded as the clay; that the thing made should say of its maker, "He did not make me"; or the thing formed say of him who formed it, "He has no understanding"?

Perhaps, like so many, you are waiting for Him to tap you on the shoulder and say, "Here I am."

So let me leave you with another thought that God gave you and whoever else wants to hear....

Isaiah 55:6 "Seek the LORD while he may be found, call upon him while he is near; 7 let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the LORD, that he may have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

Good luck in your search...God is available to those who seek Him out in these days.

Maybe God just tapped you on the shoulder. You know, He does work through ordinary people some times.

He did reveal Himself. He revealed Himself in Jesus Christ and He was denied and crucified. Not only did He reveal Himself, but He gave us His Word, the Holy Bible. His prophets have never prophesied incorrectly because their words are inspired by Him.

Most people just refuse to believe in Him and believe that He let Himself be crucified for us. When He returns the next time though He tells us it will not be as a sacrificial Lamb for the sins of the world. Christ will return as King of Kings and Lord of Lords, the Lion of Judah, The Most High God and He will rule with a rod of iron and every knee will bow to Him.

Has anyone ever read Romans 1:18-25?

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19 ¶ Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen

That's a great question. Are you absolutely certain that He hasn't revealed Himself? How would you know if He did reveal Himself? What would that look like to you? What would it take for God to prove to you that He is?

God could easily show himself to everyone, but then who would need faith? God does not want people to believe in Him based on simply seeing Him. He wants people to believe in Him without physically seeing Him there. That's what separates those that have faith from those that don't. How can He tell those that really truly love Him from those that don't if He revealed Himself?

He is there if you know where to look. I think that he does not just reveal himself openly because he wants us to believe in him based on faith. If he stepped out and said "Hi, here I am" then every one would believe in him. That is not to say that everyone would live the way that he would want them to but no one would doubt that he is there. If you love him and follow him based on faith then it is genuine. If you know that he is real, that is if you could see him, would you go to him because of genuine love or would you do it because of what you think you could gain? In a way it is like someone who has a lot of money trying to find someone to live their life with. If everyone knew that you had money then it would be hard to know peoples intentions. God wants us to come to him because we truly love him, not for what we could gain. In a way it would be unfair to people if he did reveal himself completely because then we would be tempted to love him just for what we could get. I think the way that it is helps to keep our intentions pure.

There is no point in god revealing himself, he's done so repeatedly and everytime yes there are believers but everytime there have also been those who doubted even though they saw with their own eyes. Some would continue in their ways just because they are comfortable and human interaction has shown me repeatedly that people see what they want to and hear what they want to. He doesn't show himself because it wouldn't change anything.

He doesnt play hide and seek, he's watching you every moment and guiding you along your way through your day. And he doesnt need to reveal himself, because he is already known, if you didnt know him you would be asking this question right now.

Because God is not a person or even a super person that can reveal himself, herself or itself. God can only express through its creations.
