Dear Jesus:

I'm quite fond of your advice on leading a good life and I can dig the idea of casting of eyes and hands that cause me to sin.

But you see, JC, it's not my eye that causes me to sin. It's another body part that I'm more than partial to. Infact, certain woman are quite partial my body part as well. And if I follow your advice, I will not be able "be fruitful and multiply".

So, should I go ahead and lop it off? If I do, do you got my back on that one? You sure I will enter the kingdom when the time comes?

Or should I just ride this one out?

What about having an R&S "Catholic Special Edition" of the drinking game? I can think of a couple of questions right off the top:

1) Why do Catholics pray to Mary?
2) Where is (fill in the doctrine) in the Bible?

Here in Southern California, a good chunk of the populated area has been on fire.

People are helping each other at a stunning level.

My son and his fiancee had to evacuate their home in a small town that may be largely devasted. After inching their way out through the Marine base - the only route left open at the time - they made their way slowly to our safe area.

Friends stepped up to board their kittens. They have been fed, housed and given gas money. Those who are helping come from no particular belief system. They are human beings with qualities of love and generosity, strength and courage. Even if they don't pray to any specific deity. They aren't "waiting on God"

The Bible says that "God so loved the world..." Can you see that your fellowman is lovable? Even if s/he doesn't practice YOUR religion?

How come there are still ghosts haunting places? There are specials I've seen on TV like "America's most Haunted" and some of those spirits are said to be bad people. If you go straight to Hell after you die, then how come they didn't?



That's all the more reason why I don't believe any human being ever goes to Hell. I believe there might be a Hell, but I don't believe anyone goes there, let alone for eternity.

No attempt to spiritualize it, no thanking any God (which I think is very tacky when neighbors have been hurt), etc. I don't know whether Becker is spiritual or not, but I was still impressed that he honestly admitted he didn't know why.

That said, I'm still praying to the Rain Gods to send some over to SoCal and the Wind Gods to please calm down!

and do you have budget, for family and friends, i do and i blow it every year
what i do is for all the little ones who come to the house i buy loads of packets of sweets wrap them up put under the tree so when they come there something under the tree for everyone it takes hours to wrap but to see there little faces it worth every second
