Probably not, but it might be against your local By Laws to leave them up after a fixed date in the aftermath of Christmas!

I read in my local newspaper the other day that stores are getting set up for the holidays now! I think it is too early. Stores were putting up Halloween decorations in late August. At this rate, christmas decorations will be up year round. Of course people do.

No, I don't think that's some kind of record. I know when the local news station does their weather forecast in front of nicely decorated homes around Christmas time, they usually talk to the owners and most of them say they have to start decorating in mid-October to get everything ready in time for December.

We've got a house in our street that never take the bloody things down, is that a record? They have been up for 11 years; lights twinkling away every night; artificial snow on the windows, (by now it's probably dust & cobwebs), Father Christmas on the roof, and even one hanging out of a window (deflated of course,); reindeer in garden, etc., etc., So, maybe, your one isn't a record, but someone who's had their christmas bits up even longer than 11 years could be! Interesting!

Some people where i live start putting their outdoor christmas decorations around this time every year. They do it to raise money for charity.
