Reading your Bible is a definte help and it would help if you *cough* *cough* went to prayer conference with me*cough*
But talking to God about anything and everything is helpful, I dont pray every morning or night at a set time but whenever i have time i try to add God into that free time whether its between classes or between classes and food =)
Because if you want to have a good relationship with anyone you talk. And God knows everythin but it always makes him feel better if you talk to him about anything, even though it seems like a one way conversation hes the one person i can talk to about anything and even if no one else listens i know he does =)
Ill pray for you to get a closer relationship with God
Love you Kurry!

Like anything that you wish to do better, it takes time. Spend time with your Lord. You may already do so, but I would suggest something like this. Find you a good easy to read bible. Maybe the Holman Christan Standard, or the New Living, Start in John. Read some. Then stop, Ask God what are you wanting me to know about you from this, then read it again. Slowly, and surely, God will reveal himself to you. You may also look at Christian Book stores, for some of Beth More work books they are excellent. And this from a man !

You question confuses questioning and understanding. God would not have questioning skill. questioning is a manufactured from human know-how that occurs with the form of the frontal lobe. God is all understanding (omniscience) So if God creates a secret being, hypothetically, that's all understanding as God is, yet that's it, is God's knowingness nonetheless better to all, or equivalent a minimum of consequently? nicely God is omniscient by way of fact he's likewise all-powerful, and omnipresent, and you'd be able to't be one without the others. it might hypothetically be impossible to 'be attentive to' as much as God without his different powers. the secret being would not 'be attentive to' what that's want to be all-powerful and and omniprest by way of fact it would not have those powers. At maximum it merely be attentive to approximately, which isn't understanding in any respect. understanding is merely achievable via being. God would nonetheless be better technically. yet much greater technically, the being would not be break free God the two, by way of fact this being would be a form of God, which all of us are, cosmically. i attempted my superb to grant you an answer without pretending I knew all approximately God. I merely had to stay with interior the dictionary definition of God, somewhat than religious.

wow funny that i stumbled upon this question! i had been sda for 16 years. i like most sda's dont consider this an sda bashing by any means. i went through the same thing though as an sda. i left the church for the reason of my daughter being at an sda boarding school and dss showing up to take her and put her in foster care. the reason? i was running for sheriff. it was a political move- and the church knew it! noone asked questions or anything. they were instructed to not call me by dss workers. four days later i found out and called the school. the reason they complied? "when the govt steps in we dont ask any questions"! so there ya go! so much for prophecy watch and not complying with satan. so i left. but what i found is that i needed to forgive. not only that but somewhere along the way i lost the joy of my salvation. i was good at parroting prophecy- as most sda's do. i decided to study for myself. i found about two things i didnt agree with after all. i ran into an employee at a christian bookstore who invited me to his jewish wedding that week. i decided to go. it was a messianic juewish group. i was amazed! i never went to a jewish wedding. right about then i needed to feel love within a group. as i watched and listened through the wedding service i saw prophecy as taught by sda's unfold before my eyes. you cannot understand prophecy until you study the jewish wedding process. anyway, in the messianic group i heard beautiful music that people were culturally dancing to. it was so anti sda! i studied with them and found that God wants us to serve him 100% while many dont like jews- i will say this- sda's got a lot of their doctrines from watching what the jews do. jews though, pray a lot. incessantly. numerous times per day. that is what God wants! so here i am now a messianic believer. i believe in messiah, that never changed, but i worship so much deeper than before. i listen to the most beautiful and fun and soulful music and dance too!
i am not saying you should change- but check them out at least. dont let the lsit of donts in the sda church take your joy of your salvation away. you know a lot of truths- now expand your horizons!!!!! you wont be sorry!
i am now pastoring a small messianic group in this asheville area. i believe that God hears me and answers me more now than he ever did. worshipping with all of your heart and soul is the most important thing! email me sometime if you want me to upload some of the messianic music to you. Paul Wilbur is the best start. most of your christian bookstores have him or can get his music in for you. learning Hebrew has been wonderful as well. when you are doing what Yeshua (Jesus) did when he was here, you know your not doing wrong!

Do some things for your community. Visit some nursing homes and keep the elderly company. Give a dollar to some homeless person, when you see them on the corner begging. Ask your priest or minister if there is any work that you can do in the church, there usually is, and you don't have to have money to donate services. Do you have a cripple or sick person that you know on your block? Knock on their door and ask if you can rake the yard for them. Good Lord there are countless ways. God bless you.

To know about God we have only to discover our own human soul which is something we all have within ourselves and employs the law of rebirth and karma in order to manifest on the physical plane.

Honey It's not about a religion, denomination or a church.
It's ALL about a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Read your Bible and God reveal to you what's missing.Blessings to you..

Be still. You pray, you study, etc. How often do you just sit and talk to Him as though He were a friend, sitting there with you? When you pray, do you pray properly, beginning with praise and thanks? When you finish, do you ever just sit there and wait to hear His voice? Be still and listen.
