Do you find it nearly impossibleto find a Church that is actually led of the Spirit, that teaches sound doctrine, where there is true ministry? All i find is religous "social clubs" with no spirituality or biblical depth, and ther is no love, only a whole lot of pretence. Tell me i'm not alone.

1 John 2; 18-young children, it is the hour, and just as you have heard that antichrist is coming, even now there have come to be many antichrists, from which fact we gain the knowledge that it is the last hour. John stated that the antichrist has already arrived, Who or what do you consider to be the antichrist?

it was people other than Jesus that wrote the scriptures so how do you know that what was written is what Jesus had really said or done ?
so because man is not perfect and the scriptures were written by man that makes the scriptures imperfect making the bible faulable there for not creditable

my executive director even put together a letter about me in the staff newspaper that goes to all the schools. At my job recently some people talking about me and doing very silly and childish things. They changed around my entire schedule and made it very difficult for me to do my work. The are a few people including my supervisor that has said really hurtful remarks. I work at a school with needy children my problem not the students what sense does that make. How can you go from loving a place to hating it in just a few months. Since I'm married I can't just quit because of the effect it would have on my family and I need another test to be certified so I feel stuck. Here is a good example some one wrote a letter and put in a new worker mailbox and put me name on it and my supervisor brought me in her office to talk to me about it. I feel like I am in High School not working at one. What should I do I want to curse everyone out and leave but im trying to be smart in my decision.

I am not a huge fan of the Harry Potter books, but I do like the films. My question is this...why is every one so up in arms that one of the main characters is gay? I think it is stupid! Christian groups are so up set that Dumbledore is gay, but I thought they did not read the books because it promoted witch-craft? AHHHH I am Christian and I am tired of the ignorance, and the petty causes Christians fight for, are there not more pressing issues in the world other than a gay fictional character in a book they are not supposed to read? Christians wonder why people look at us like inbred, ignorant, boarder line retarded, jerks! Please tell me I am not the only one who feels this way!

In the Book of the Prophet Malachi from the Old Testament:
"Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord."
Do you think this is a reference to the historical, Biblical Elijah, coming to earth again, or is it a reference to a man who is a prophet similar to Elijah, of the same type as Elijah?

If you met someone that told you that you must believe them, follow them and do everything they said "OR" they would send you to hell and burn you forever night and day forever.

What kind of "Friend" would that be?

Is this what Jesus taught?

I've noticed at looking at different religions I see some common threads and I'd like to have your thoughts.

First there is the "bonus" you get for joining: Heaven, eternal life. As an example: Mohamand promised virgins, Jesus promised Mansions..."IF" you follow their picticular teaching.

and I right here?

The Down-Side: If you reject the "teachings" and don't become a follower...you revieve hell and will be burnt, nashing of teeth day and night and so forth..."IF" you don't follow and "believe" they are who they say they are.

What I get from Chrsitianity is this: Follow it and you get a Mansion and eternal life....don't follow it and you will be forever in FIRE tortured night & day forever and nashing your teeth.

Am I wrong in this conclusion??? Can anyone tell me I'm wrong in my understanding WITHOUT Double talk?
I guess I would appreciate some honesty and straight forwardness.......am I wrong?

Warning: this is a long question that may require you to think. If you don't like that go to P&S.

Bible literalists/ fundamentalists (I realize not all believe this way, but I had to narrow it down somehow) usually read the Bible literally, and pride themselves in this. They tend to be young earth creationists from reading the Genesis account literally and live their lives according to a strict moral standard they see outlined in the Bible. But they also seem to be (once again not always) more of the premillenial dispensational mindset about the end times. They take on those particular views of the rapture, anti-christ, and tribulation.

This is where I get confused. A lot of the theology about the antichrist is drawn from Daniel which does not lay it out literally. Ideas from the rapture also seem to rely heavily on interpretation of scripture, not a literal reading. And I can't see how Revelation can be read literally to back up a premillenial dispensationism view of eschatology

My dad died recently and I want to do the right thing to honor his memory, so I don't want to start a brawl over a small inheritance. On the other hand, my Dad owed me money when he died that I would like to recover.

My Dad divorced my mom when I was 12. A few years later he took up with a woman that he never married or lived with, but with whom he had a relationship for 30 years. He left no will. When he passed unexpectedly, this other woman sucked money out of his bank account to cover the hospital bills and memorial service. She disposed of his property without asking if I wanted anything.

My Dad had borrowed $6000 from me and when I asked her about that debt she got very hostile. My dad didn't own a lot and I don't want to be mercenary. But I did help my dad out financially a lot over the years, and don't see why I should be left hanging, since under state law I would be the heir to his estate. I'm feeling very conflicted about the worldly vs human toll. Your thoughts?

Or anyone who knows the right occasion in which to use "their", "there" or "they're"? I was taught this at infant school and yet there are adults who can't make this simple differentiation.
