Do you find it nearly impossibleto find a Church that is actually led of the Spirit, that teaches sound doctrine, where there is true ministry? All i find is religous "social clubs" with no spirituality or biblical depth, and ther is no love, only a whole lot of pretence. Tell me i'm not alone.

not alone.....my husband and I have found very sincere people at churches that do not teach the full gospel....we have been to the "social club" ones, dry ones, gossip filled ones.......very frustrating. My grandfather says it wasn't always like this and he has a wonderful church...2,000 miles away from me:-(. It is the modern American/western cultural "values" that people get caught up in and then bring to church....I have been listening to some great sermons online and my husband and I keep on trying. "Wherever two or more are gathered in My name...."so as long as we pray and study together we have "church" at home. I have 2 churches I like but the commute is so far that it isn't practical to be very involved. I like the idea of starting or going to a house church so I am being open to the Lord putting in our path like minded Christians. I think the way modern churches are run go against the biblical model so in effect they end up defeating themselves. You do not need committees, budgets, and such to get people together to pray and worship God. God bless!!!!

I have had this experience. What I did was ask Jesus to lead me to where He wanted me to be. A year or two after I had found my current church home, there was a real dust-up and after another year the pastor left under a cloud (and not a pillar of cloud, either.) I thought it was time to move on, but there wasn't anywhere to go...and I realised God wanted me where I was! So I sat tight and after a few more months the Lord opened a whole new avenue of ministry to me through this church, that I would *never* have thought of on my own.

Sometimes we do need to move on, but if you're looking for a "perfect" church, you'll never find it because they're full of human beings, just like you and me, with all their problems, issues and imperfections.

If you truly believe in Spirit leading, you know you can ask Him to lead you where He wants you to be and He will. You just may be the agent for change He needs to start something moving.

Yes. Remember, "God does not dwell in a house built with hands"

Great if you find a spirit based church, but if not, I think maybe it's better to run the race by oneself

Quite a lot.
Many are still trying to find the right church to go to. And when they talk about their religion being the best religion in the world, it's quite a joke.

Ah, Yo, Pilgrim, Wah Ha.
churches are vacant of god's spirit, which is why you do not find him in a church. we are all churches, walking about with the spirit of god. we are gods--we have him in us. we are his equals if we are his children. revealed religion of chrisianity enslaves a person's ability to think for themself as the theology and doctrines are so ingrained in the person's head that they tend to compare everything they are told with that theology and doctrine. yo will never find a true church cuz one does not exist. they have all strayed and are only fit for the wrecking ball.

I am with you. But then we'll never find a perfect church. People are people.

We just have to do our best, not look to this people but look up instead.

Seeing your statements, I guess I am also a nomad in the sense you describe.

This is where I live, so to say:
