from what I read historians pretty much agree the man Jesus did exist. That there were enough non christian references from that time to prove it. They didn't seem to be too impressed with him or his following, But they did write about him.

If every liberal in the world acctually did what they think everyone else should do, would it solve all the worlds problems. And I mean just the liberals. As we all know, liberals say people shouldnt use oil and electicity in excess. But most of them do. What if all liberals acctually did walk to work, washed their clothes by hand, grow their own food, cut their own hair, didnt use electricity at all, etc.... Ill bet that alone would eliminate our need for forigen oil. All the polls say that about half of all Americans if not more, are liberals.

I have a relative that is going through hell right now there is no nicer way to put it. I love her dearly. My gifting is encouragement and at times serving I dont have the gift of helps and sometimes when I am asked or requried to do more I get annoyed and I know this is wrong because Jesus took the time to die for my sins so I could be saved and go to heaven.

My question is this do you find people who are going though a lot and/or have a lot of needs to be very needy and demanding and that the cycle of thier neediness never seems to end?

Being said this what are good godly ways to have a Christ like attitude when these people need help? It is just sometimes dpressing helping people who are hostile neagive depressed and have little or not joy?

What is your take on this?

I hate the suburbs!

I hate how you have to commute by car all the time, or not commute at all. Walking is a pain where everything is so far away, and ditches, barking dogs, tons of weeds, and the heat get to you.

Cars also don't provide me satisfaction, with bills, oil checks, maintenance, and a bazillion other things.

Houses look pretty much the same with little character. Old suburbs die and become gentrified.

Neighbors keep to themselves in their gigantic houses, and don't come out often.

Suburban lifestyle is related to obesity.

Suburbs lead to uncontrolled growth, with ugly strip malls, vacant lots, etc.

Traffic increases with no centralized public transportation.

And a bazillion other reasons.

The ONLY good thing is usually better schools, and cheap prices than the city. But that's it.

So why do Americans love the suburbs? It's so awful.

Kindergarderners being kicked out for playing cops and robbers on the play ground and using their fingers as a gun? Doodles on your papers about a teacher you didn't like and having to go to counseling? Having a teacher tell you to write what's on your mind and then get kicked out of school? I've noticed alot of unique personalities in R&S and I wonder how many of them are a reflection of the real person behind the avatar. This forum makes it too easy to pretened to be someone you are not. Do you come to R&S and show your authentic self? Do you hide behind humor, sarcasm, or anything else? When discusing religion and spirituality do you do it with your complete self and soul or just with your emotions or needs? And finally, If you do pretend you are someone/something else than what you really are in this forum, how do you hope to get anything worthwhile out of it?

very personal question...and you just say.."i feel UNCOMFORTABLE answering that"...(in fact, you are shocked!)....but then the boss says.."why are you uncomfortable?"...you just look at them....and just say.."I am uncomfortable... My question, what is wrong with someone like that???.shouldn't they have left well enough alone when you answered the first time??? i think so...give me your opinion...it is like they are badgering me!!!

How do you get someone deleted from R&S and why would someone do this?

For the second time in two days I see threads about member accounts being deleted because someone reported them.

Is that all it takes to get someone deleted? That is unbelievable. Don't reports have to be validated or are people simply deleted due to excessive reporting regardless? I'm truly trying to understand.

That is really sad people. There are some who I find quite abrasive here but I don't report people. I report posts and questions. There have been a few that I have reported but they are silly shiz like the person currently asking the best time to douche.

If we don't like a serious question or answer can't we just move on or at most give them a thumb down?

There is a lot to learn, even from those we feel are foolish. Every time a big presence here is deleted I feel a loss.

I deeply respect people of all faiths. However, their needs to be a line when something is going overboard. How can someone believe in Scientology. Not just becuase of it's sci-fi belief system, but the entire fact that it revolves around how much money you put into it. That alone should tell you that something is messed up.
