How do you get someone deleted from R&S and why would someone do this?

For the second time in two days I see threads about member accounts being deleted because someone reported them.

Is that all it takes to get someone deleted? That is unbelievable. Don't reports have to be validated or are people simply deleted due to excessive reporting regardless? I'm truly trying to understand.

That is really sad people. There are some who I find quite abrasive here but I don't report people. I report posts and questions. There have been a few that I have reported but they are silly shiz like the person currently asking the best time to douche.

If we don't like a serious question or answer can't we just move on or at most give them a thumb down?

There is a lot to learn, even from those we feel are foolish. Every time a big presence here is deleted I feel a loss.

I appreciate your answers but I still don't understand how it is done. I have never seen a function to report a person. Are there crews following certain people and reporting their posts? Is that how it's done?

Ya know, I've been on here a long Time, MayBe it's just me or something, but I Don't think I have ever seen somebody that Deserves to be shut down.

It gets a little rough, a little sick but that's just the way it happens at this time and in the Real World Too.

I Really Miss that Genius "What Should I Do---so on"!
That guy was Amazing!

Unless they Really do Deserve it (ain't seen none) getting Shut Down

(No Offence to AnyOne Now, just the Way I Feel O.K.?)

Sucks a Big One ! (didn't say what!) :)

No, reporting a person's post one time is not sufficient to get them deleted from YA. A person has to demonstrate a consistent disregard for the YA guidelines and many different people have to report the same post.

Yes, when a post is reported, the report must be verified. There is some automation involved, but there is also some direct human involvement in the verification process.

That's really scary. I hope that everyone has a right to express their opinions without the fear of being deleted. This is after all the religion and spiritually section. I believe in God. I hope that I can express my opinion without fear of being deleted just because of my belief. That's not fair.

yeah ithink it all has to be pretty vendictive, i had a thread deleted....i was basicly expressing my annoyance at christians for being so pushy.

i think you get a fair bit of warning about stuff like that.

Questions get deleted.....people get suspended.

You can get suspended if you have a certain amount of violations....and they're supposed to be evaluated before you are suspended.

people ask questions because they need answers. If they are stupid questions, then they need answers all the more.
