what if all the liberals practiced what they preached?

If every liberal in the world acctually did what they think everyone else should do, would it solve all the worlds problems. And I mean just the liberals. As we all know, liberals say people shouldnt use oil and electicity in excess. But most of them do. What if all liberals acctually did walk to work, washed their clothes by hand, grow their own food, cut their own hair, didnt use electricity at all, etc.... Ill bet that alone would eliminate our need for forigen oil. All the polls say that about half of all Americans if not more, are liberals.

I don't know that most liberals "use oil and electricity in excess" - and I doubt you do either.

I also don't know any liberals, much less all of them, who think that EVERYONE should walk to work, wash their clothes by hand, grow their own food, cut their own hair, not use electricity at all, etc....

Most environmentalists (which is the actual group you're describing) still don't advise that everyone take the kind of drastic steps you mention. They do think that we should reduce our impact in all of these areas, but then so does pretty much anyone with a brain.

Gee, let me think. GW said he was a compassionate conservative and then he started a war that got half a million Iraqis killed. This same compassionate pres also vetoed a child health care plan. Ronnie, GI and GII are responsible for 70% of all the national debt that the US has accumulated in our entire history while blaming the Democrats for being tax and spend. I think that when it comes to hipocracy that conservatives have a lot to teach us poor liberals.

Yes it would make a big difference wouldn't it? What about socialism? What if the welfare programs the liberals love, were actually about helping people, rather than supporting the lazy breeding class? Welfare wouldn't cost nearly as much and might actually help people who need a temporary hand rather than a hand out. After 8 generations of welfare takers, it is no safety net, it's a career.

If liberals did that, they wouldn't be bashed so much by conservatives. People wouldn't twist their faces in disgust everytime the word 'liberal' was said. And the country might just be better.

I think you are confusing liberals with Amish farmers (no disrespect to Amish farmers)...and, terms liberal and conservative are bogus labels for people who just want to get out of thinking for themselves.
And, I think with what we know about Amish farmers, they wouldn't call themselves liberals.
