SO that the animals can replicate, He took both male and female of each animal but the beast were left behind to die. He also took his wife, sons and their family. That is where the Generation started.

God chose Noah because Noah followed Gods Commands

so Noah went to places he didn't know existed and persuaded animals he didn't know existed to get on a boat to survive a flood there is no evidence of? I mean.. elephant seals? Did he walk at the same pace as they go saying.. "come on, it's just over the next sand dune, jesus I wish god had invented lighter clothing" He got to the Galapagos Isles before Darwin? Insects.. how many are there and how did he stop all the lizards and frogs and anything else with big sticky tongues from eating them? How did he stop polar bears from eating him or did god put in a word for him? As with Lions, tigers jaguars, cougars and just about every other carnivore ever. Please, Noah????? You're havin' laugh!

Its just like Monty Python, you give a vague question, and half a dozen people are instantly interested in what 'some' Noah took - I assume that it was not Brian?

God (sic) I love this section, respect to all however weird your ideas may be to me, and my atheism might seem to you, for all our sins (sic) it would be a very boring place without us... hell I am going to break into Pangel type ((((hugs)))) next ... well perhaps not :0)

Genesis 7:1 And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.
God saw that Noah was righteous and when the head of the household is righteous, all who are in that household are considered righteous also.

Genesis 9:1 And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.
To repopulate the earth.

It is written that God destroyed the world because there was no good found in the hearts of men, with the exception of Noah and his family. Eight souls were saved.

The flood symbolizes the destruction and subsequent rebuilding of the church with good and worthy members. The few he took with him in the story were the good individuals with whom he would rebuild the church.
