To live on in the states do they cut off benifits 30 days after you leave country. They dont give you enough to live on but expect you to stay there and starve to death instead of finding a place where the money is enough to live on.....

Please help. Recently we were reading the New Testament in church. It said in Corinthians-

'11:4 Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.
11:5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.
11:6 For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.'

But when I shaved my wife's head in her sleep for not wearing a scarf or hat in church or when she prayed, she really got cranky and I just can't understand why. I mean, surely I'm saving her from Hell?

Please help.

My son has been attending the Caledonian Thistle football matches for the last 4 years, with his mates. He has now been told because he uses a Wheelchair or walking aid, he must attend with an able bodied adult over the age of 18. My son is independant, smart, intelligent, polite and sociable Young Man, who before this has never let his disability get in his way of achieving anything. He can go swimming, shopping to th cinema etc.... by himself, without any problems. He has been made to feel inferior to his peers.

Well yesterday my family found out I was gay. My mom was utterly shocked, she was crying all day long. My dad told me he better never see my face again. My brother wants to kill me. My sister is crying because im not at home anymore, and i feel like my world is crumbling beneath me. How long will it take for them to get over this, what can I do to help myself? :(

This comes from a Catholic elementary school. Kids were asked questions about the Old and New Testaments. They have not been retouched or corrected (i.e., incorrect spelling has been left in.)... Enjoy!

Moses died before he ever reached Canada. Then Joshua led the hebrews in the battle of Geritol.

David was a hebrew king skilled at playing the liar. he fought with the Finklesteins, a race of people who lived in Biblical times.

The people who followed the lord were called the 12 decibels. The epistles were the wives of the apostles.

Solomon, one of David's sons, had 300 wives and 700 porcupines.

One of the oppossums was St. Matthew who was also a taximan.

The Egyptians were all drowned in the dessert. Afterwards, Moses went up on Mount Cyanide to get the ten ammendments.

Kids say the funniest things don't they?

True believers who wish to put all their faith in the Bible are faced with three problems: (1) How can one know which books are "inspired" and should be part of the scriptural canon? (2) How can one know which one — if any — of the existing contradictory manuscripts (MSS) of a given book preserves the "true" wording? (3) Assuming that one has the correct manuscript (MS) of a given book, how can one know what the particular Greek, Hebrew, or Aramaic words mean? As we shall see, there is no way these questions can be answered with absolute certainty. At best, believers must trust to the probabilities — not certainties — that arise from a scientific investigation of the facts surrounding the biblical texts and traditions. Believers will have to face the fact that there is no way at all to know which Bible to believe — let alone what to believe in it. Believers still have to put their "faith" in other human beings.
