There will only be worldwide peace when every man, woman and child uncover the deep peace within each person. Only then will they rise above their petty conflicts and hatred and begin to reflect the love of God. If you wish to help bring that about start with yourself, look deep within until you touch the source of all things. Then just allow your light to shine on others always directing them back towards their own connection with God within.
The human ego will always want peace as long as it can still satisfy its own greed. Decide, do you want world peace or your own comfort and excess? This is not to say that only personal discomfort will bring about world peace, only that seeking to assure ones personal comfort and satisfy greed is not the way to world peace.

You are either very young or very naive. The mid east fighting will end. But it will only end when the time is right. There will be peace made between the two sons of Abraham. but it will be short lived. Only the Son of God can bring true peace. But there is much blood to be shed before that comes.

In my opinion, the western powers should leave it in the hands of Middle East leaders to resolve their problems and chart their destinies politically or militarily by themselves. What is the United Nations is for? Hegemony or interventionist policy is bad.

You can't. The people in charge of the world are greedy for power and money. War provides both. It serves their purpose to drag it on as long as possible.
