Please help. Recently we were reading the New Testament in church. It said in Corinthians-
'11:4 Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.
11:5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.
11:6 For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.'
But when I shaved my wife's head in her sleep for not wearing a scarf or hat in church or when she prayed, she really got cranky and I just can't understand why. I mean, surely I'm saving her from Hell?
Please help.

Obviously this is a joke I was just trying to highlight some of the contradictions/ absurdity/ wrongful commands in the bible. Although I do believe in God I just think there are some things in the Bible that are baloney (due to being tampered with through the years.

Right, you did the Wrong thing there, you are taking the part of the bible which shows the vengful god literally.
can i ask you a question, if your wife was working on a sunday, would you kill her for doing it, because thats what it says in the bible.
if you get mildew in your house, are you telling me that you would destroy your house and rebuild it again, because thats what it says to do in the bible. Only a fool would take such extreme rules seriously.
i think you were wrong to shave off your wife's head, and i hope your wife has the sense to divorce you , because you obviously need help

I can't tell you how lucky you are. I would do anything to have a girlfriend shave her head to help me out. In my opinion every woman looks great with a bald head. I think you should let her because on the one hand you will have a shaved head. Two it's just hair in a month or two it will grow back, everyone wants to try something new. Three, thing of how much money you'll make (on the video, and on savings from the hair products). And lastly, there's nothing wrong with it, it will just grow back.

Uh, since you're an expert on this stuff, maybe you could help me? Am I going to Hell if I ask my husband to shave my (ahem...) when I'm lying on the bed? I wasn't praying at the time, but I think God can see under the covers for some reason. I was also going to ask you something about Sodom & Gomorrah for some reason, but I've forgotten why. Probably 'cause I just said God when I wasn't supposed to. Any ideas?

There's something you must understand: you must respect people have or not your same beliefs and aspirations. In fact, that is written in the bible. So, you're wrong. You are not saving anybody, because each person must be convinced of what she does.
In this case, she's not agree nor convinced so you can shave her the rest of her life and she won't be saved anyway.
In the other hand, please, don't take the bible in literal sense because it's written with symbolisms. If bible say: "shave your head" it doesn't mean shave your head.
I hope be helpful. Good luck and good joke

Not sure if you are trying to be funny or you are being serious But just in case you are serious...here is my two cents.
It's not for you to judge and punish...that is God's job. You could have talked/explained to her or talk to your pastor/priest. I don't understand why you had to do it when she slept. You gave her no choice. You didn't give her a chance to explain why she didn't cover her head. You took matters into your own hands. I am sure you have the best of intentions - saving her from hell is a noble cause but I have to be honest if my husband did the same to me, I would be angry too.

"Obviously this is a joke"
If this is a joke then how can you make a valid point.
What you are doing is called scoffing and acting in the spirit of antichrist. I could probably find in the Bible a verse that says I should smite you, but that wouldn't be Christian. I pray you gain understanding of the Bible since you are reading it.

You shaved her hear in her sleep? My goodness she must have been drugged as well to have slept through that. You also sound quite abusive. Sorry, but I think you just told us a story. Good try. Jesus freed us all from the Old Testament Laws, when he died on the cross.
" Father Gos help us, to be examples of your kindness, love and generosity, help us to show people that your ways are good.."

I think women should have their hair long EXACTLY as Rudy wants (below), lest they be accused of being too manly with short hair (like Jesus) or slightly manly with medium length hair (like Nick Nolte)
In short (no pun), women should please men by keeping their hair length within the approved lengthal-range according to Rudy. Anything else is plain disrespectful of God, who keeps his hair short so that women will learn what a man looks like.

If you did that to me I'd be sure to send you to hell. You don't have to follow every part of the bible because Jesus came and changed the way things are.
