Proverbs 1

A wise man will hear and increase in learning,
And a man of understanding will acquire wise counsel,
To understand a proverb and a figure,
The words of the wise and their riddles.
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge;
Fools despise wisdom and instruction.

My husband and I seem to have conflicting views/problems with the sin of lust, and are curious how other men deal with it.

If you're a man, how do you deal with it?
If you're a wife who doesn't have to deal with it but has a husband who has a problem with it, how do you feel?

Also, is it more of a problem in men than women?

I'm a new christian and trying to learn more about my new faith.
I'm feeling uncomfortable with praying to Jesus because after all the ten commandments say we shouldn't pray to idols or other god's, so i would assume that means only pray to the big guy, so why am I being encouraged to pray to Jesus?

I try not to judge, but I do notice I am among many hypocrits. Is there a place in the US or in the world with people who try to be more moral. I realize no one is perfect, but I still see people doing many things here in the US that the bible says not to do. Mose of these things I see can easily be changed, but I realize not all are so easy.

I have evidence for my beliefs! I received presents last CHRISTMAS from SANTA.
I received chocolate EGGS on EASTER.

I have more proof for my beliefs than all the infidels that believe in Jesus and Muhammad. I have physical evidence!

Turn or burn!

Is it for a good laugh? Do you find some Christians amusing? Are you feeling that God might exist?

I'm not sure what I would call myself and I don't think it matters, but often visit for amusement. What about you?

Thanks for all answers to my last question, but I would like to expand on Joseph Smith/Savior issue and then the Jesus/Satan brother thing.

Is it LDS doctrine that you must have testimony in Joseph Smith in order to reach a higher plane of heaven?

What exactly are the LDS beliefs on Satan? Is he a fallen angel? Is he a fallen god (little g)? What about Christ?

If his name was to be Holy
(Exodus 20:7) 7 “You must not take up the name of Jehovah your God in a worthless way, for Jehovah will not leave the one unpunished who takes up his name in a worthless way.

In the KJ it says LORD, now that is a TITLE, NOT A NAME

but since he did have his name in 6800 times , don't you think he wanted us to use it,

whats the 1st thing Jesus said to pray for in the Lord's prayer?

LET YOUR NAME BE SANTIFIED ( OR HOLLOWED) means same thing.

Jesus said (John 17:6) . . .“I have made your name manifest to the men you gave me out of the world. They were yours, and you gave them to me, and they have observed your word.

so since Jesus thought it so importent shouldn't we? do you have a STRONGS CONCORDENCE ? if so look up the word LORD & see how many times it refferences Jehovah.
