Power. Power is the cause of all wars and fighting. Religion is merely the smokescreen behind which power-hungry leaders build up arguments in order to stay in control of people, land, and borders. Currently the west holds power in the world. Christianity is a common denominator in the west, and thus it becomes the main focus of Muslim extremists who want more economic and political control over the world and its wealth. Conversely, superpowers in the west want to maintain their hold over the world's wealth, and Islam is the common denominator in Arab and many Asian countries. Thus, needing ideologies to drive their political arguments and to maintain the backing of their people, religion gets slung into the mud by both sides. That said, if it were not religion, it would simply be something else.

If you would but notice, when Muslims are in power, Christians and Jews live in peace under them. It is when Christians or Jews who have power over Muslims, then begin the bombings of Muslim cities, the bull dozing of Muslim homes and the inquisitions and ethnic cleansings.

Ironically when a Muslim nation becomes "Nationalist" that is, abandons the basics of Islam, then again begin abuse of the minorities.

It is a serious point to ponder for those who think. When Muslims controlled vast regions of the World, most lived in peace under the rule of Islam. It is when the British took over, THEN the troubles of divide and rule etc emerged after centuries of peace, unlike what you hear in the news propaganda that "they have always been fighting" etc.

If you think and see deeply, you will see there is a lot of truth in what I am saying. That said, from time to time corrupt and arrogant Muslim rulers have come and abused the weak, but only when they were not following Islam's basic tenets.

There are indeed good Christians and good Jewish folks also, as long as they do not have power over others.

I'm not sure if there is a religious root of enmity other than they think Jesus is old news compared to Mohammed. I think it has do with the outcome of WW1 and the way the middle east was split up according to the preferences of (Christian) Europe and some of Jerusalem given to some rich Jewish man named Roth, who undoubtedly helped fund the Europeans initiatives in that war. The middle easterners had little say in how they would be governed right after they got the Turks off their backs since forever. They fought against the Turks to now have (Christians) europeans lord it over them- and the (Christians) turn around and give thier ancient enemy( the Jews) land that wasn't even the Europeans to give in the first place. That caused undoubtedly a deep sense of resentment. I notice two dorks gave me thumbs down. I'm certain these are the facts. I'm sure the Crusades got them stirred up 800 years ago, but I think events more recent in history would have to involved for their to be adequate motive for the way our relations play out these days.
Just 500 years ago or less the Turks(Muslims) threw Christians out of Istanbul and tried to make it as far as Vienna. Do you remember that? Does that get you going? Only if you are Serb or Greek. The Crusades that's ancient history.

sure I truthfully have checked out the Quran and it is not complementary to the bible. It contradicts the bible, which became writen via prophets inpired via God, no longer guy. it particularly is a rambling e book, and makes little experience. It specializes in intercourse alot. The Quran has no info for its contents and became writtn via one guy. being decedents of Adam and Eve is with regards to the only issues we've in effortless with Muslims. Their God isn't comparable to ours. in spite of the claims, he has a thoroughly distinctive character. the assumption of the trinity is interior the bible. the actuality which you stated this suggests you have in no way study the bible. the daddy, son and holy spirit are stated repeatedly. The quaran provides God as Plural (WE created the earth) yet denies Jesus is the son of God, and denies the trinity. this suggests you haven't any longer study the Quran the two. you look getting your impressions from some exterior source, like human beings, different than the archives you cite. in case you particularly do the analyze, you will locate the bible completly consistent. there are no longer any math blunders the two. loss of comprehension of a stated textual content fabric via any reader isn't such because it being incorrect. It capability you are able to desire to verify why it says what's does and study it in context. The prophesies interior the bible are so precise that pupils have been waiting to foretell the magnificent day Jesus might enter Jerusalem in the past his dying from the e book of Daniel. The QUran has in no way made a prediction that has come genuine.

The Jews are God's chosen people and the ones God blessed.

Christians support Israel because they are God's chosen people. Christians love everybody and try very hard to also like them. It is hard to do so when Muslims are always threatening to kill them because they are the 'infidel.' It is hard to like somebody who wants to die and get his 'virgins' while killing innocent people. Does not sound like a religion of peace to me. Christians didn't really appreciate 'the 19 Islamic thugs' that killed fellow Americans on 9/11. Just not something that is done.

The Muslims were blessed by God, just not His chosen people. This made them mad and mad men do maddening things. 9/11 is a perfect example of madness.

That's it in a nut shell.

Religion. People have forgotten how to love God with purity and have invented religions to take the responsibility for 'making the rules' so they don't have to think for themselves or be responsible personally for their choices. So with religion comes a social structure that says 'our group is the best'. Nearly every religion claims they are Gods special people and that if you follow their special book (which is the only true and accurate book) then you can be special too. And then to make sure they are the ONLY special ones, religious folks start carrying on campaigns to kill off everybody that doesn't follow their rules. It is almost like a pack of dogs. When the pack gets large, the alpha dogs get 'allies' to themselves and try to kill off the competition. That is why I have nothing to do with religious folks. Deep down, they are afraid they actually might not be right, so they try to kill off everybody that might be different. If they are the last ones standing... they must be right.. right?

I love the way people on here can excuse any current Muslim atrocities just by reciting the magic words "The Crusades"!

For those of us who live in the PRESENT, the answer is simple: until Muslims started blowing up school buses, Christians didn't really give them much thought. If they ever grow up and learn how to live in polite society, we can go back to not thinking about them. Thank God.

Good question. Abraham had two sons, Isaac born of his wife Sarah and Ishmael born of Sarah's maid slave. Sarah and her maid could not get on, there was too much strife between them later and Abraham threw the maid and his son out in the desert while isaac, his legitimate son and his mother stayed on. Muslims are the descendants of Ishmael and Christ is a descendant of Isaac. The strife was passed on from generations till date. You can get this from Genesis.

Probably the Crusades. After a fierce battle over the Holy Land and many people getting killed on each side, I can see why the two religions hold a grudge.

Christians believe that Christ came to save men, and is the Messiah; one promised by God in Old Testament prophets.
Muhammed was a prophet of old, believing in the same God as that of the Jews, but not recognized by either group. Muhammed wrote another 'book" of prophecy and law, ( Quran) different from the Jewish law, and decreed that all those who did not believe in (his) god were infidels, and were to be slain. This book is the basis for Sharia law, which oppresses women.
Moderate Muslims consider Jews and Christians "people of the book" for they believe in the same basic text of the Old Testament, and are to be respected. But not all Muslims so believe, and thus consider them "Infidels" worthy of being slain.
It is much more complicated, but this is as simple as I can make it.
