1) Jesus only showed anger towards the religious leaders, but to the “sinners” He was a friend

2) Even when Jesus could have been the most “offended”, He said, “Father forgive them; for they know not what they do”.

3) Jesus commands us, “Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you”

If we hold that they are “blind” and “dead”, then it is absurd to be offended by what they think, say, or do. They are only doing what comes naturally to them, for they are born in sin and they don’t even know what they do.

Isn’t this like getting angry at a blind man and saying, “Open your eyes, man! LOOK at this! What’s WRONG with you?!”

Or better yet, isn’t like getting angry at a corpse and saying, “What’s WRONG with you, man!? Get up! Eat! Drink! Be merry! Don’t just lay there and decompose!”

What kind of evidence would it take for youto change from believing in evolution to believing in creationism?

Just say what the other side of the issue would have to do to prove their point. I'm looking for pieces of evidence that have not been found yet, such as the missing link between humans and other primates or a Precambrian rabbit.

Essentially, I want to know if it would ever be possible for this issue to be solved or whether people are just to stubborn to ever come to a unanimous conclsion.

you dont believe in God. Hoo-ah for you. Why do you all feel the need to answer every question that starts "Is God..." or "Does God..." with "it doesnt matter because he doesnt exist"?

You aren't going to get best answer, you're just going to dilute your best answer percent.

You arent going to convert anyone to atheism - and since you dont believe in any divine will, there's no reason for you to even try in the first place.

And its not a discussion board, you cant post replies and hold a debate, so its not like you can even get a cheap thrill out of being a dick and trolling and riling someone else up, unless just getting half a dozen anonymous thumbs down is enough to make you smirk....

I cant see any practical reason for atheists to even bother expending the fraction of a calorie your body would exert to move your fingers to type those responses.

Whats the point? I really want to know what you get out of it, so please dont just spam with atheist-bashing....

Couldn't some of those skull simply be from extinct apes.

Is the entire Evolution theory hanging on to those skulls?

Written and archeology finds shows us that human history and civilization is only about 5500 years old. The oldest been Mesopotamia "The Cradle of Civilization" which began in the region in about 3500 BC.

These findings support the history of the Bible more than they do Evolution.

NOTE: See "additional details." It won't fit all in this post.

What are your thoughts on the SONG American Pie? What do you think it is trying to say about Christianity? Is it using rock as a metaphor for the Bible?
Christianity in American Pie:

"Did you write the book of love,
And do you have faith in God above,
If the Bible tells you so?
Do you believe in rock ’n roll,
Can music save your mortal soul,
And can you teach me how to dance real slow?"

"Oh, and while the king was looking down,
The jester stole his thorny crown."
(Of course, the King is Elvis, and the Jester is Bob Dylan, but why is the crown "thorny"?)

"Jack flash sat on a candlestick
Cause fire is the devil’s only friend."

I used my introductory free membership period of membership in The Church of Scientology to get as much hard L. Ron Hubbard data as possible. I found the behavior of the sole coordinator of Scientology in my country offensive, and did not attempt to purchase annual or lifetime membership, which I saw as an unnecessary extravagance.

Further L. Ron Hubbard materials would have been welcome, but I had most of the basic books, and really had no need of anything else.
I was astonished to uncover online horror stories about how people were financially ruined, mentally and physically tortured "by Scientology."

One of the great quotes of L. Ron Hubbard is: "When you know all the steps of a process, you can NEVER become the negative effect of that process." No authentic Scientologist can claim ignorance of the ways in which Scientology could be used against them. There is therefore this unfair wave of negative propaganda fronted by those who merely want to prevent others benefitting.

I find it highly irritating! Why can't people just respect other people's faith and agree to disagree?
I'm Jewish and I have total respect for other religions. Judaism forbids proselytizing, anyway. Why do some people feel the need to 'persuade' others of 'the truth'? Don't you agree it's intensely patronising?

If you could create your own God, what would it be like?

What powers do you imagine it would have? What degree of dominion would it have over the beasts of the field and its children? Would it be benevolent, or wrathful? Compassionate, or ruthless? Tolerant, or prejudiced?

I feel apart from everyone and everything in my life and it only seems to be sinking further. I feel as if I have lost the connection between myself and my faith and with those who should mean the most to me. How do I reconcile myself that this is my life and be content when all I feel is turmoil inside? I feel closed off from my spirituality and don't know how to reconnect with either. How do I discover who I am and make a bridge so as to not alienate those who depend on me? I just want to run and the despair is crushing. Who do I reach out to? And will it make a difference......

Okay, I know this sounds like a silly question.

But think about this -- if you believe that you can have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be guided by the Holy Spirit, why do you need other people to choose and outline the guidelines of that relationship?

In this question (I'm answerer 13), another answerer (#12) above me mistook me for a religious fanatic instead of what I intended as a sarcastic spoof. Should I come up with some kind of disclaimer, or would it be enough to just let people have to guess my intention?
