In this question (I'm answerer 13), another answerer (#12) above me mistook me for a religious fanatic instead of what I intended as a sarcastic spoof. Should I come up with some kind of disclaimer, or would it be enough to just let people have to guess my intention?

No disclaimer, it's funny seeing people miss the point. If the genius couldn't figure out your anti-gravity theory was a joke, then he likely doesn't get much.

The recent movie Factory Girl featured a parody of Bob Dylan, and the credits list him as Bobby Quinn, but the movie clearly shows it is Bob Dylan. The movie is being sued for defamation and Bob Dylan has a good case. If 99% of your audience knows who you are talking about, its not really a parody.

Perhaps you could just move on and get over it. It's already been voted on and if you notice someone with a great sense of humor won. It would be a good thing if you lighten up a little, this is not a section one can take seriously without having a stroke or something.

Personally, I like to leave clues so that people who pay close attention can tell that it's a parody.

For example, most of the time I'm writing spoofs of creationist arguments, I invoke prominent creation scientist Em Adjineri, whose name is pronounced "Imaginary."

You're giving yourself a little too much credit. It wasn't that funny.
