I think that everyone is "blaming" the wrong people. It was not the photographers. It is all the Dianaholics who bear some of the responsibility of the actions of the photographers. If the Dianaholics were not so engrossed in their ideal person, then the photographers would not have been so desperate to take and sell her picture, and would have been some other place else that night, ten years ago

hmm, I would see this issue should risen not just subject to the Diana-Dodi crash. I mean, u could see the Princes' cars and also Kate's, none of them are blacken. Is it okay to blacken car windows in Britain? (I'm not a British, btw).

In my country, official cars for the President/VP/ministers cannot have blacken windows because it's not fair that they're "hiding" from the people. Those VVIPs car usually have window curtain, although rarely being used. But for private cars, it's okay to be blacken as far as 60%.

I think if they (all those Royals & friends) really don't want to be the center of attention or don't want to give the papzi pics they could sell, they should do this at the first place.

O yea, in the matter of Diana-Dodi crash, the driver was drunk...

The papparazi would have known she was in the car anyways because they saw her get into it. So either way they would have followed her, plus I dont think she used the same car everywhere she went and would not have had time to have the windows blacked out before hand. They would have followed her to get a shot of her getting out of the car anyways.

Listen, it's a waste of time to speculate and wonder about things that are done and over with especially if it happened 10 years ago! There's nothing anybody can do about it. Today, many celebrities blacken out their windows and try to avoid papparazzi, does that stop them from acting like maniacs for pics? And btw I do believe her windows were tinted from what I remember from the news.

Blacken windows wouldn't really help. The paparazzi were waiting for her at outside her door, they followed her to wherever she was going to get photos. By having extra tinted windows, that would probably make the photographers want to chase her more to get photos.

even if the car windows were blackened, the flashes and lights from the outside are still seen on the inside.
having flashes go off around you everywhere can be quite disturbing.
plus the driver was drunk.

Because she was listening to stupid, misguided Dodi. Although...she could just as easily have fastened her lap belt and survived too, so she's not totally blameless in all of this.

Plus...it gives more fuel to the conspiracy fire, which I don't believe. Normally they would travel in that type of a car, the one they died in so they say had been stolen shortly before the accident and worked on, but someone obviously tampered with it to cause the accident...

She had a love/hate relationship with the paparazzi. They made her more famous, but also intruded terribly on her life. Really, the main reason for the crash was the fact that her driver was drunk.

What good would that have done? The paparazzi would have still followed her to take photos when she got out of the car.

i think the situation was a little less "epic" than media has made it out to be.. i dont think it was her desperatly trying to escape some vicious cameraman ... i dont think that would make any one of us risk our life... i think things were going on that we didnt know... who knows
