I have been wondering about this lately, but what type of history book have you been reading before you became Catholic?
and what type of history about the Catholic Church have you been reading before you became Catholic?

I just thought of asking you because it seems to me that non-Catholics seem to have different version of history.

ok, i'm 17 and i think i'm gay. recently i have been having more and more feelings for this guy i hardly know and when i talk to him its only for a brief time because i'm extremely shy and i don't really know what to talk about...but the funny think is i kinda like this girl but i don't think its the same way i like this guy and....does this mean i'm gay, or am i Bi....i don't know i'm confused....help me please?!?!

I keep running into this crazy fundy online and he keeps posting that Roman Catholics, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists as well as anybody with a different religion other than his version of 'Christianity' will burn in hell on the day of judgement.

I argue with him and tell him that you can't simply judge the goodness in a person just because of his/her religion.

All he responded was with this verse:
Romans 3:12 'there are none that doeth good; no not one'
(Personally, I suspect this verse has been taken out of context)

How do you deal with people like this? He keeps going everywhere and posting up things that are so discriminating against other people, thinking it will 'turn them to Jesus'.

i like my best friend-clarissa alot. i day dream about her all the time and she hangs out with another one of my friends and the two of them always hang on each other and lay on each other and it is starting to get me jealous. should i tell my friend how i feel or should i just keep it to myself?.....fyi im bi and i haven't told anyone and my question is should i tell myfriend im bi and then tell her my feelings?

I know I know...all men should be reviewed carefully...and i do! I swear it! But in a country like America which holds the white man high...I am a bit suspicious as to this guy whom I'm really attracted to is really flirty with me...thing is, he's a lawyer, good looking, fun, etc...and I'm a half black half azn chick...I'm not sure if he's taking me seriously or if he just wants to try out 'exoticness.' 1.Is Christianity or the bible just a bunch of stories, morals and values to be shared with the world and nothing more?

2. Is there really a god or is it built on hope?

3. Are the things you don't agree with based on fear to control us - over the writers own fears?

4. Is there a heaven or hell or is it bogus?

5. Why do we all need to believe in something? (including me)

I was in Spanish class today, and I asked myself... Why am I doing this? I simply answered (back to myself) well duh, there are many Spanish immigrants coming in the country. Then about 10 minutes later, I asked myself another question.... Why the hell should I have to learn another language just because of immigration. Personally, I think that English should be mandatory.

For a woman whose young daughter had an unclean spirit heard about Him [Jesus—KB], and she came and fell at His feet. The woman was a Greek, a Syro-Phoenician by birth, and she kept asking Him to cast the demon out of her daughter. But Jesus said to her, “Let the children be filled first, for it is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.” And she answered and said to Him, “Yes, Lord, yet even the dogs under the table eat from the children’s crumbs.” Then He said to her, “For this saying go your way; the demon has gone out of your daughter.” And when she had come to her house, she found the demon gone out, and her daughter lying on the bed (7:25-30; see also Matthew 15:21-28).

If you haven't been to the Middle East, calling someone a dog is the worst word you can ever call someone, they consider dogs the filthiest animals. So the all merciful Jesus (pbuh) cursed a woman, wasn't that sinful?
