Some with protruding bellies and not so beautiful BBs show them, then this question comes to my mind. Probably it is in fashion, that is why. One who is covered gracefully will be considered 'old fashioned'! (?)
Those with beautiful body naturally exhibit it to be admired, epecially if they have gone through the trouble of getting those pierced!

I believe it is because our culture here in the U.S. (and some other cultures, around the world, as well ) Have given the impression that it is "sexy" and "provacative" and that if you haven't adorned yourself in that area then you are not "with it" or part of the "in" crowd. Much like tattoos..etc...
It is just the way the younger generation wishes to "express" themselves.

i believe that they show it off just for attention. they might feel as though they have a beautiful body so they need to show it off for that validation. and when they get the attention its not always in a good way. they feel as though since they have it they might as well flaunt it. They might feel like they are lacking something like love or some type of validity.
i had one but i didnt go around showing it off i did it because i wanted to fit in but once i realized that it was better to be me i took it off. i didnt need for someone else to tell me my worth because i already knew it

They might be belly dancers!!! Some young ladies do have pretty nice belly buttons, but I wouldn't know why they are proud of them!!

Same reason some girls have their **** all exposed . They like all the attention they get from men.....Unfortunately the way you dress can effect the way people see you. If you dress like a @#$&* people will assume you are one....You can attract the wrong kind of guy......then you have no one to blame but yourself......
