When I think evolution, the first things I think is that chimps evolved to people, that evolution is just a "theory", life came from nothing, that the fossil record was created by satan and that all the geologists, biologists and every other scientist that works with evolution are so unscupulous that they'll make up anything to support their "theory."

The thing is, I know that I'm just lying to myself and that I should really buy books about evolution to truly understand it. I'm just lazy so I won't read about it and I'll keep thinking creationism is accurate. Is this right?

When somebody has died, why does everybody say "was"? He "was" educated, his skin "was" blue....

I don't mean to sound stupid, but I thought that "was" meant you were before, than you weren't. If somebody died, doesn't that mean that they died, not that they stopped being whatever verb followed "was"?

Sorry for sounding stupid, but I want to know....

I'm married to
my best friend and lover
but some thoughts we cannot share
with each other

Some horrible memories
I do not share
a childhood obsenity
is still my nightmare

For 43 years
I kept this my secret
but went looking
for answers
I found on the
internet

The people I trust
in my life are so few
anonymous I'm able
to safely
review

But I did not expect
to find people who dare
people who hear me
and who really care

Is it OK to love them
for I may never know them
Is it OK to tell them
that I really care?

In life we are silent
say nothing, feel nothing
we suffer in silence
our families don't share

On Answers I've found her
Bella my warrior
Is it OK to tell her
I love her?

On answers I've found him,
Jack B I describe him
Is it OK to tell him
I love him?
My brother!

On answers She guides me
A moon is beside me
I tell her I love her
she never denies me

My friends here
are numerous
all of them humourous
I love them all
dearly
I say so by flirting
it's my way of sharing
my feeling, my hurting

Is it OK to love
my friends on this forum?
Is it OK to love them
for I may never know them
Is it OK to tell them
that I really care?

Ok so I've been having these "feelings" for as long as I can remember. I'm really attracted to females. I even love lesbian porn. But the thing is... I'm only attracted to females sexually. I wouldn't want a relationship with a female. I wouldn't want to date a female. I love men. I love having a boyfriend. What is this? Have you ever heard of this? Is something just wrong in my head or something

If you're not already aware I'm one of the more firmly entrenched atheists on Y!A R&S. I'm educated to a high level, I have a scientific and historical background, and I've read very widely in both evolution and anti-evolution literature.

However, I figure that even if I don't believe in the power of prayer, which of course I don't, there must be enough of you out there who do that if you can all get together and pray for my salvation, then it should have a little impact. Consider it a sort of experiment, if you like. If I even feel the slightest difference in my views tomorrow as a result of your combined efforts, you have my word that I will report it here. If I become "saved" at any point in the next YEAR, I will give everything I own to the church and dedicate my life to Jesus.

Does this sound reasonable?

I really haven't had such a loss in my life, and I thank God for that, for letting me have with me my husband, parents, and my very best friends. I know I don't have them for granted, and if God decides to call anyone of them.. I'll accept it. Although it's easier to say it than actually do it.. If you had endured such a situation could you tell me how to face it? I just.. don't know, am afraid, even though I shouldn't..

Thank you all for your answers

I lost my hearing completely at age 26, 10 years ago. I had no help with rehab the doc gave me tranqs and the social worker told me to 'learn to lip read, cos your gonna need it'.
It took me some time to accept the situation but i have worked hard to try to become accepted in the Deaf community, they are very nice and friendly towards me but i am not yet fluent in BSL and its difficult. I feel stuck in the middle. Deaf people think im hearing and hearing people think im deaf. The only other deafened in my area are the oldies.
Its all getting me down.....and i feel a freak
