Why is that when a Christian says anything about Creation we're automatically deemed stupid but if an athiest praises evoulition they must be a genisus? I for one think it takes more faith to believe in evoulition than Creation.

write a question that the Lord in heaven can not be of a two fold nature, these religious persons give me these answers equating God to acting like a parent. Love is love and hate is hate. How can the Lord be a good example to mankind through it's religions if he is written to behave no better than a COMMON man. Isn't time to change these idiotic perspectives ?

The membership in our group is multi ethnic. All our messages are in English. Sometimes we tend to switch to a different language to convey a particular point. Is it possible to post messages in another language also? The preference is to have messages in both languages in the same post.

My brother spent a month trying to talk me out of getting a motorcycle, with horror stories of people killed in motorcycle accidents. After I went ahead and got it, (since it was my money, my bike, my choice) he came to the conclusion he wanted one too! Only bigger! What makes people think this way? Is it just the fact that someone else has something they don't? Or maybe that it is more desirable after seeing it? What is your opinion?

According to the book, "Case for Christ"(this book sets out to prove that the NT factual) the four books of the gospel are 80% compatible. That is, all four books agree with each other 80% of the time. The author mantains that this goes to prove that the writers of the gospel did not conspire together and come up with a exact identical story. Here is my question, If the entire NT is God-breathed, why do the authors disagree with each other 20% of the time? If it is God-breathed, it should be perfect, it has to be perfect. Why don't the gospels match perfectly??

Ok, this is a direct response to a loaded question that was posed just a short time ago. I want everyone to know, I respect people of all faiths and religions. However, it does annoy me to see science (and religion) misrepresented and claims distorted. I want people to take a look at this chart and understand it, then tell me if it helps you understand the difference between faith and science, because seriously, there IS a difference.

http://www.encyclopediadramatica.com/Image:GodChart.JPG

I am not doing this to show disrespect, and I wish that the chart was a little less "mocking" towards religion. Nevertheless, the chart is a good representation of the difference between the two.

I apologize in advance if the picture offends anyone.

Much love. ~Q

...have you even thought about what Halloween is celebrating?
Halloween is like the devil's holiday! Did you know that every Halloween an innocent baby is killed? Did you know that every Halloween witches celebrate that the baby is killed?
Did you know that every Halloween you celebrate...you're celebrating a baby being killed? That is evil and wicked! How could you do that?
I hate Halloween. People go around and dress up as devils and girl angles(there is none...only guys), and witches and....oh you know.Witches give a sacrifice to the devil every Halloween and you celebrate that? Just so you know...their sacrifices are people, babies, animals, and anything else they can find. Did you also know that when you are dressing up...you are hiding your idenity. The Bible says not to hide it.
CHRISTIANS: back me up. REAL Christians will understand me.

There's a variety of stories out there about creatures that look like human females and then dance men to death, either literally or figuratively.

Can anyone remember the names for these creatures?

...I mean, it is HER baby.
Should she be forced to care for it and nuture it...just because you think it is morally right? What if she can't afford it?
...if the baby was left alone, it wouldn't be able to survive!
So, shouldn't she have the choice?

What if the baby was the result of incest or rape, and a woman gave birth prematurely at 22 weeks...a day before she was going to get an abortion...? (Amillia Sonja Taylor was born at 21 weeks, six days and survived: http://www.nrlc.org/news/2007/NRL03/Amillia.html)

I mean, what's the difference...but a few seconds and the cutting of the umbilical cord...?

Are you saying that once the umbilical cord is cut, then she no longer has a choice in the matter...?!?

Shouldn't Amillia Sonja Taylor's mom have the right and choice to have Amillia physically dismembered and destroyed...like they do in abortion?

"ach übrigens, ich bringe meinem vater jetzt english bei. jeden tag eine halbe stunde. das macht voll spaß nund er konzentriert sich auch vool. er kann jetzt fast so viel english wie ich spanish,
na gut jetzt erzähl du erstmal, was du so schönes gemacht hast!"

ok, I pretty much get what this says, except for the last sentence. this is what I got:

" oh by the way, I am teaching my dad English every day for half an hour, it is really fun and he totally concentrates himself. he can almost understand as much in English, as I can in Spanish. now you tell for the first time what you have been up to!"

is that what it says? the last sentence is what I kind of don't get...
I speak Spanish, and she is studying Spanish. so does it sound like she wants me to write back in Spanish? I usually write her in English. "jetzt erzähl du erstmal" is what I'm getting from that...

what do you guys think?

The following quotes are by Henry Gee. He holds a PhD in zoology and he is an editor of Nature, one of the premiere scientific journals.

"The intervals of time that separate fossils are so huge that we cannot say anything definite about their possible connection through ancestry and descent"

He describes fossils as "an isolated point, with no knowable connection to any other given fossil, and all float around in an overwhelming sea of gaps"

Further all evidence for human evolution "between ten and five million years ago -- several thousand generations of living creatures -- can be fitted into a small box"

He concludes that conventional picture of human evolution is "a completely human invention created after the fact, shaped with accord to human prejudices"

He also said "to take a line of fossils and claim they represent a lineage is not a scientific hypothesis that can be tested, but an assertion that carries the same validity as a bedtime story, amusing, perhaps even instructive

Now, I've seen LOTS of unfortunately foolish people asking "Why are Atheists in R&S?"

I thought that Christianity advocated the idea that atheism is similar to another quote-unquote "religion"

So.. According to them, its a religion, but its not allowed in the Religion category because its not a religion....

Specifically: many of the atheists who believe in evolution...why are they so defensive about what they believe?

All of the major "icons" of darwinism have proven complete bunk scientifically...yet people "look the other direction" regarding this...and bash people who point them out...why?

The Miller Experiment - abandoned by "Science" magazine because "the early atmosphere looked nothing like the Miller-Urey simulation".

Darwin's "tree of life" - negated by the Cambrian Explosion and lack of fossile records.

Haekel's Embryos - shown to be fudged, distorted, and purposefully misleading!

The archaeoraptor - the link between dinosaurs and birds...a fake! A chinese paleontologist had actually glued a dinosaur tail to a primitive bird!

Java man? "Derived" from a skullcap, a femur, three teeth...and LOTS of imagination!!!

...and it goes on...

But why so defensive...?!?
