Someone on T.V. said that the human heart isn't completely fulfilled without God, so that's why people are addicted to gambling, sex, alcohol, etc.

Well if people are fulfilled by God and religion, doesn't that make it just another addiction?

If you could go back in time and you saw Jews stone a gay person to death (Leviticus 20:13) or a person that worked on the sabbath, would you stand by and do nothing and act like it was perfectly justified or would you say that the commandment that came from the mouth of God supposedly was incorrect?

Read Leviticus 20:1. It says that killing gay people came from the mouth of God. He supposedly said this to Moses. Read that verse and every SINGLE verse up to 13. These are supposed to be quotes from the Judeo-Christian God.

I know NO Christian now would say it was okay to kill gays because Jesus came and died for our sins, so the laws have changed, but I have never seen a Christian condemn this verse. They act like it would NOT be okay to do that NOW, but they all seem to believe it USED to be okay.

Your thoughts?

Today I was walking down a dark street when I heard a scream on the other side. I crossed to walk on that side. As soon as I crossed, two big guys jogged past and a young woman stood crying holding her shin about 20 feet away.

The two guys gave me a short glance before continuing running away. When they were gone I jogged over to the woman. She was pretty, and about 21.
"What's wrong, are you okay?" I asked. She nodded while still rubbing her shin.
"What did they take?"
"Everything, my purse, keys..." she trailed off.
"I'm sorry, but I was over there when it happened and...Do you need to call someone?" I held out my phone. She shook her head and took out a sidekick and started typing.
"Thank you, no I'm fine. They were following me the past few blocks, I should've known, thank you." I nodded and walked away.

This happened in San Francisco about 1 block away from Japantown.

Should I have tried to stop those guys? Did I do the right thing? I feel kind of bad.

I haven't met all Asians but this is about 80% of my experience. I get (and) friendly smiles and nods from whites, blacks, and hispanics but the Asians I meet are evasive. They glance at you and then look away, as in away. Like some women I encountered....I smiled at them but they turn away and don't smile back like they are unhappy to see me. Some give unfriendly looks. I am also Asian so I was expecting the other Asians would embrace me more. What's wrong? This is confusing.

Last night I was contacted to go to the library and look for a certain book. When I got to the library I was appalled to find this book in the fiction section. I immediately went over to the librarian with the book and asked "how can this book not be considered nonfiction?" The book was entitle "The Cat in the Hat." She told me that it is not real. I said that it was. I told her how the Cat in the Hat telepathically contacted me the previous night and told me that he was real and that he lived a million light years away. He told me that he contacted Dr. Seuss telepathically about this event in his life and that is where he came up with the story, whether he realized it or not. I told her that if she could not prove me wrong that it had to be true. She told me that I was crazy.

Talk about double standards. Do you think atheists will strive to have a question removed if someone tells them that they're going to spend eternity in hell and are the spawn of Satan?
I love it how Christians know how to turn the other cheek. I love their tolerance of rival beliefs.

I'll occasionally get into a debate with a True Believer of some sort and the topic will turn to empirical proof of religion. I'll ask something like "how come you can't faith-heal an amputee under laboratory conditions" or something like that. Often, the person's defense is that it really does come down to faith and nothing else.

So, if it's ultimately faith, why not have faith in a religion of your own making? Why not start a fun religion where kinky, non-procreational sex is encouraged and where smoking maryjane is a sacrament? Why not a religion where the deity is a smiling guy named "Bob" and where every day is a holy day and a paid holiday? Why not just dump all that grim hellfire 'n' brimstone stuff and believe in a nice, fun religion instead?

I've heard so many rude and negative remarks about them lately, both here and in the real world.
Such as....
It's immoral
You're only in it for the sex
The older party is a pedophile
It is impossible for such a relationship to work
It's a waste of time
The younger party is only interested in the attention/money/gifts

Seriously, why do people get so judgmental about it? I understand that in some cases people are just in it for the attention, the money or the sex, but you get that in relationships where there isn't an age gap either.

After a certain point, age is not always a good gauge of mental and emotional development.

So why are some people so fond criticizing age gap relationships?

My step-mom was raised to believe that people are born with religion... I sort of object because I never chose this religion. (Unless I had some sort of agreement in my past life -- if you believe in that sort of thing)

I believe in god, but I don't follow rules of any religion, such as "no sex before marriage" Ect. I don't like the setup of organized religions and feel they are too tainted by beliefs of modern man, so I don't participate (and I don't agree with alot of what they say) I'm a good person, I don't lie, cheat, or steal, and I'll be the first one to help you when you need it. I feel like I have a personal relationship with god, just me and him, and I dont have to be part of something to prove that - if someone asks my religion- what would that be?

Also, I respect everyones beliefs.

I went to church when I was a kid but later stopped. I was never baptized. Recently I have been studying and praying on my own although I have not been attending church. I am saved and would like to be baptized but since I don't have a church I'm not sure where I can go. I don't really identify with a particular sect (Baptist, Methodist, etc.) I don't really want to join a particular church but I do want to be baptized. For those of you who want to judge me keep your comments to yourself please. For those who want to help I thank you for your advice.

The Leopard has multiple heads, four exact, which symbolizes how many times a kingdom will rise and fall. Germany had the 1st Reich, 2nd Reich, 3rd Reich, which was Hitlers Reich. Now we are seeing the 4th Reich rise. Edwin Hartrich wrote a book about Germany called the 4th and Richest Reich.

We know the Leopard can not be the Grecian Empire due to the fact that the Bear, Lion, and Leopard will become one in Revelation 13:2-4, so these kingdoms or governments will merge and become one in the latter days.
