well keyboard gangsta's as i like to call 'em get tough on the internet because it's easy to be that way when protected by miles of distance, anonymity and the ability to change sites if they get to threatened...it all comes down to the napolean complex picked on in real life = keyboard gangsta

I'm not sure. Maybe it's because they don't feel comfortable having that image associated with them, but on an anonymous site, they like to represent their alternate personality.

peopole act tough because they think you are tough and they want you to be scared of them or they think that people like other bad people

the people do not have face to face intact on internet and hence are less hesitant and communicate more freely. hence they can be tough. but it is prudent to be as courteous on the net as in face to face contact.
