Okay, I'm a Christian, but after being on this website for the past 2 1/2 hours, I've sensed that what atheists believe is thought to be worthless. We need to have respect for their beliefs too!!

God created you and He gave you freewill. Wow that's nice. But God is omniscient, He knows everything. In fact, He knows so much that He knows every choice (exercise of freewill) you make before you even make it. This means He created YOU knowing what CHOICES you will make beforehand. So basically He knows who's going to "heaven" and who is going to "hell" before you're even born. God created people that He knows will go to "hell." That isn't nice.

Free will cannot exist if a supreme being exists. They're mutually exclusive.

I bet many Christians won't understand this. Oh well.

Do you guys roll your r's like they do in Spanish.

Because I'm learning German and the tapes really don't roll the r's. But when I listen to Rammstein or about any other German speaking I hear them roll their R's.

God who gave us life gave us liberty. And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are of the Gift of God? That they are not to be violated but with His wrath? Indeed, I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that His justice cannot sleep forever.

they need to hear it even though it is not the kind of romantic love they are looking for. Would staying in a relationship based on trying to be kind and caring to the other person, because they need it be as unfulfilling for them as it is yourself and perhaps keep them from meeting someone who would have romantic feelings for them? Makes one wonder if they have been living a lie like forever huh. But then marriage because you don't want to hurt someones feelings...what is that? Mmm

I realise that this question is somewhat inflamatory, but I feel that its an important question in the ongoing debate over same-sex unions and ordinations of gay and lesbian persons in many mainline protestant Churches today.

Many faithful Christians could be found to practise behaviours on an ongoing basis that the Bible teaches to be wrong. We are all sinners. We all covet things from time to time. Would you question the faith of someone who was a gambling addict or an alcoholic if they told you they truly believed in Christ despite their problems? Most would not reject those persons claims of faith on their face. So what about homosexual persons? Can a person be homosexual and still be a good Christian?

This may be an off the wall question but in John 16:8 when Jesus speaks of the comforter or companion that is to come when He goes to heaven. Jesus uses the term "he" to refer to the Holy Spirit and "he" is not capitolized. In the NT "He" in reference to Jesus and God is capitolized but not the Holy Spirit in John 16:8. Why is this???

lately, it seems my questions have caught the attention of at least one of you, enough so that i've had about 10 questions/responses removed in about the past week. i can only assume it's a christian because the majority of my questions have been directed at christians, thus i don't see any reason in a muslim reporting my questions. what's odd is these are not questions that are offensive by any means, unless you consider an appeal to common sense to be offensive. if that's the case, then i thank you. you've proven my point better than i ever could. isn't sad that the best way you have of keeping people believing the way you do is to make sure you suppress the questions and ideas of those who don't?

This is a serious question because I honestly want to understand your perspectives. If there is no god or creator of any kind, then where do you think the universe came from?

Not bashing... just wondering... Thanks!!!

Ok, it's a short argument, but hear me out. Why would it be a sin, or going against what the Bible says if a women pastor is leading other people to Christ, and is also helping new Christians in their Christian walk? I know the Bible talks about how women aren't supposed to have authority over men, but what if women in leadership roles are furthering the kingdom of God? How could God possibly have a problem if women are leading people to Jesus? And don't tell me it's not possible for a women in a leadership role to have altar calls, or whatever avenue she uses(ala Billy Grahm etc etc).
