Well, I am a Christian and I don't believe that atheists are bad people. I have a couple of friends who are atheists and they are awesome people. Although we have different beliefs, I love them and care for them dearly. I cannot judge you or any other atheists b/c everyone is different. Be careful when you say Christians, b/c that means all and you can't speak on behalf of all Christians due to what you have seen, heard or experienced from other Christians, or other "so-called Christians." I have heard some atheists make rude comments about Christian people also, but I don't think all atheists are this way.

No, they just feel sorry for you. I don't doubt that you can live a good and happy life, but it can't be complete without God! I don't judge or have a bad opinion of you my mother is wiccan and I was brought up wiccan, so I do not judge anybody, in fact I don't consider myself Christian yet. I'm still learning. I do hope you have a great life. maybe one day you will change your mind, but until then please don't think that all Christians are uneducated, bigoted and judgmental. Maybe you have been exposed to some Christians that don't have good morals themselves.

I don't know of any Christians that will say atheists have no morals. What we will say is they have no solid foundation for the morals they claim to have. Big difference. Also you can think you are a good person but even good works are as filthy rags the Word of God states. Also I'm sure you have broken several commandments like the rest of us so that means you are not a good person. In fact I know you have broken the most important commandment as talked about earlier tonight on here, that is giving God all the love he deserves. Only God can make you a good [erspm and this is by you repenting and trusting in him as your Lord and Savior.

Generally speaking and particularly within Islam there is nothing better than a good character.

For those who accept Islam as their guiding light it is encouraged to direct attention towards being more aware of and shedding any bad personal traits in favour of good and virtuous ones.

Trust, humility, truth, mercy, tenderness, forgiveness, patience, modesty and generosity are but a few recommended values which should prevail when dealing with others, be they Muslim or non-Muslim.

Tempering negative characteristics is recommended in order to develop meaningful, lasting and fruitful relationships that will enhance personal well being and that of the community at large.

Making mischief for others, singling out individuals to become the focus of ridicule, laughing at or jeering others is not the behaviour of a Muslim.

The Messenger of Allah PBUH said "Avoid suspicion, for suspicion is the greatest lie. Do not be inquisitive about one another, or spy on one another. Do not outbid one another with a view to raising the price. Do not feel jealous and do not hold grudges against one another. Do not backbite, but be the servants of Allah like brothers and sisters amongst yourselves" (Bukhari & Muslim)

I'm sure some do. And some don't.

I know a lot of very moral athiests. I just can't figure out why they're moral. Why would you even care about what's "good" or "moral" if you have absolutely no compass by which to judge what's "good" or "moral" in the first place.

If life is only a temporary and meaningless thing, why aren't we all just partying all the time waiting for sweet death??

i think most people in general are unhappy to some degree because most people are seeking happiness in the world, when they're better to seek contentment in what is greater than this world.

i dont think all atheists are more immoral and unhappy than many Christians. I also dont hate all Atheists. I have many Atheist and Agnostic friends.

But the Atheists Ive known often have trouble grounding their morality in anything, because they dont really believe in anything. and i think belief in oneself is a fallacy.

No one is judgemental, that is not all of us anyway. I do believe every human being can choose to be happy or unhappy. But to sum things up, there is a way that seems right to a man and the end thereof is destruction.

This is a little complicated.

Christians ought not say that unbelievers can't be kind and pleasant and thoughtful and caring, etc because that is obviously not true. Unbelievers are certainly capable of good deeds.

The problem, hopefully discussed without anger, is one of moral authority. Who judges our deeds to determine if they are good? An unbeliever judges his/her own deeds. If we get to judge ourselves, we will always decide that we are at least basically good. Even criminals plotting their next crime think themselves to be basically good. Our human capacity for rationalization and self-justification and self-deception will lower the standard for good until we fit.

The difference between believers and unbelievers is not that God tells believers what to do. We all know that dishonesty is wrong, for example. Believers have to go before God and explain themselves knowing that God sees through all of our rationalizations and self-justifications. If we think we can fool God, we're not really believers.

I don't have bad opinions about them. Everybody is entitled to their own opinions and beliefs. Questioning others religion is not a bad thing, we humans need that for survival and to continue the path to truth. What I don't like is when they disrespect others beliefs by blaspheming the very important thing that those with religion believe in, God, Jesus etc. Blasphemy is different from questioning.

God bless.

It's neither up to christians nor any other religious believers to think what statement atheists are into.
It's up to him, almighty. And believe it or not, God gets so angry when you either not believe in him, or deny him in any other way. Christians are not saying this, while God says this. preferrences? Tourat(old testament), Bible and Qor'an. Because it takes a simple calculation of what you see around yourself to find out his existence...
Hence atheists I assume have some kind of moral disfunctioning!
