Because they are human, like you and me.

Oh yeah, and they think they have an out, "Ask and ye' shall be forgiven". Don't remember the bible saying, "except", it just says ask.

If I lived my life with a get out of jail free card, I would do what I wanted all the time too. But sadly, I live in reality and I have to live with myself if I do wrong against others. Trust me, my head is much scarier than any hell a Christian can dream up.

It looks like you have decovered that Christians are human beings too. Nobody can live all the commandments.. Thats why we have Jesus. To many people judge God for the way Christians have acted for 6 thousand years.. That is a big mistake.. If we could live and act the way Jesus taught, it would be a perfect world.

Because we are all sinners. There is no one perfect, no not one (as the Bible says). It just goes to prove that we all need a Savior. None of that, though, actually excuses bad behavior on the part of any Christian. Christians who live in their sin (dwell in it, wallow in it) are also punished for it. If fact, the Bible teaches that those who call themselves Christians but are living in sin should beware. If a so-called Christian is not facing judgment from God, then they probably are not actually saved and do not really know God. God promised to discipline His children just like any loving parent disciplines his or her child when they disobey. Just because someone calls themselves a Christian does not mean that they actually are one.

To one of the other posters: I guarantee that your finite mind cannot truly imagine the horrors of hell. None of us can. I plan not to find out.

Lets see maybe b/c were sinners just like you! Maybe b/c we've made choices in our pasts that we're not proud of and then got right with our Lord. There are a hundred reasons why people do what they do and all of them are sin unless your following the commandments. But for us its impossible and that's why we need Jesus. For me there is nothing worse than a holier than thou Christian and I hope I never am one. God Bless

Some Christians do these things, yes. But it just proves that we are broken sinners, like the Bible says, and in need of a Savior, redemption and grace.

I am always amazed at the number of people who think Christians should, and can be, perfect. If we could be perfect, we wouldn't need Christ to begin with!

Sorry to burst your bubble, in God's time things come to pass when people really want the change. It's not our call to judge anyone, we are human, not perfect.

I had to go through so much to be able to say enough is enough, and can't stand to live in the flesh and carnal mind, but trust in God to renew me. I pray for a Christ like mind, and I am an open vessel for Christ, sinners saved by grace, because we are forgiven by Christ when we repent and receive him as our savior.

We have to learn to want to be more Christ like and that is so hard for many, including myself, because we have a carnal mind, and flesh that helps us to do things we wouldn't normally do, because of human nature, we are in this world but not from it, for many. So there for, are such thing as spirits that are no good, through open doorway's they come in, called any form of sin. Then we realize oh wow, what have we done.

All we can do is just fight to live righteous, to be a Christian doesn't mean to be perfect is to believe in Christ. Many Christians do not apply the word, and just live day by day. It is sad when some Christians judge others, because only God does that to us with his word in the Holy scriptures, and that will take place in judgement day.

The pathway is narrow to heaven, and not many will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, because of lack of faith, believe, respect, and knowledge. We must die to the flesh, and live righteous...

Only Christ was perfect. Many people have not consciously made the decision to be more like Christ. They think they wouldn't have fun anymore. Quite the contrary. Your heart changes when you commit your life to Christ. Different things interest you.

Not to say that Angelina Jolie is a Christian (or not) but her metomorphosis shows she is trying to be more Christ like.

Trust me. That's a stretch for me to use her as an example. Just using a name that many may be familiar.

hello, Dan
People think that it is okay for them to do these things simply because of the word repentance. they feel if they do the things that they really want to do anyway that they can go back and ask God for forgiveness. so, because they have repented they feel that they can judge other people. When they really aren't any better than the person they just judged.

I'm not going to say that no Christians do these things, but I will say that if they are serious about Christ, they won't do these things. But the few that do are human too. They have temptations just like non Christians. But the closer you are to Christ, the easier it is to withstand these temptations.

no matter what religion you choose to look at , you will find hypocrites...they exist in every circle of life, even outside of religion. and just as sure as they exist, so do faithful people who uphold and abide (maybe not with perfection, but with pure motivation of heart) their religious views and belief system....
