I'm feeling really guilty.

Tonight its my friends 18th birthday party and I would like to have a few alcoholic beverages.

Now my mother just came in and told me not to have a drop of alcohol as its the holy month of Ramadan and so far I haven't had any. I told myself this week, yeah I'm going to go drink but after telling my mother that I don't believe in my religion anymore she started crying and got really upset and now... I just feel really bad.

What shall I do?

Romans 7:2-3--For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man."

Jesus himself said there are only two Scriptural grounds for divorce and that is adultery and of course death. So why do so many re-marry after divorce, while their mate is still living?

Adam was created perfect, a 1.0000 but when he sinned he became a .9999999999 imperfect but close, thats why the preflood generation lived so long, but when you multiply a fraction times a fraction you get a smaller fraction. Incest wasn't known at that time, in fact Abraham was married to his sister, but when God gave the law to Moses, then it became wrong, & through ths we now view it as repugnant.

So far this morning I have noticed a little more unrespectful comments from both athiest and deist than usual.

Can we please treat each other with respect? Can't that be the one thing that we all agree on?

when i see something that i don't like i turn the channel. so why do some people waste their time in this forum shooting others down? i would understand if they had a legitamate answer to a question, but some seem to log on just to click around and tell people they are stupid. is this done in other sections? i've never offered up a cinnamon cookie recipe to hear others tell me i'm a fool for liking cinnamon and shouldn't follow recipe books because betty crocker either doesn't exist or has no right to tell me to separate my eggwhites.

people just like stirring up hate, i think. i wonder if they do that in real life. if they have one.

are divorces neccessary? Should a husband or wife do everything in their power to make a marriage work even if that means living through abuse, adultery, neglect, and dishonesty? If a husband or wife is in a bad marriage and is hanging on simply because they hope it will get better, is that good? What are your views on this?

Why do you need salvation?

Please don't quote scripture. Just tell me in your own words why you feel so bad about yourself and your nature as a human being.

Doesn't this cause a pause in the development of the human mind's potential to civilize the surrounding circumstances? Doesn't this breed apathy and "I'm better than you!" intolerant people who just feel ok to kill their enemies?
